CS Lag problem...

cs 1.4 is known for having many problems, including lag spikes, high pings etc... same problem for me. hopefully, the new cs 1.5 coming out pretty soon will fix these problems.

optical mouse in games

just curious, what is your experience using an optical mouse in games? do you ever experience mouse lag, or any other disturbances? also, in your opinion, which is better in games: optical or a regular ball mouse? this may be a stupid question but my friend's optical frequently skips..i think...

sudden reboot problem???!?!??!

i bought a ecs k7s5a in jan and initially had exactly the same problems: random reboots during games, web browsing..etc then i decided to switch ram and now everything works fine. try switching ram, or taking one ram chip out (use only one ram slot) and see if that helps. also, turn off the...

Budget upgrade: What's the best AMD Motherboard for the money?

ECS K7S5A. fast and stable as heck, not to mention its incredible price. keep in mind that you see a lot of complaints about this board because only those with problems post about it.

windows update problem

Here's the problem: when i run windows update for windows 2k, everything downloads but it fails when it tries to install the updates through the ie browser. the error msg: Could not be installed because of an unknown error. (-2147024770) is this happening to anyone else too, or is it just me...

installing ATI TV Wonder in Win XP???

need help...i have a ati ve (not the tv wonder) card. when i capture video using virtualdub, the picture comes out really dark. there's an option in virtualdub to set contrast, brightness, etc but it won't let me move the sliders. btw, dscaler is really nice alternative to the default app.

Lockups with ATI TV Wonder

hey, i own the ati ve and had many problems with MMC 7.1 so now i use a program called Dscaler. get it here. Note: make sure you uninstall all the drivers in device manager (delete them) then reinstall them: ATI TV Wonder BT CAP WDM Audio Capture ATI TV Wonder BT CAP WDM Video Capture ATI TV...

Complaints on the ECS K7s5a... ? Hope i didn't make a mistake...

the only problem i had was using bad ram. seems like the board doesn't like cheapo ram so i got name-brand ones and now everything works fine.

i had random reboots also. switched to name-brand ram (i had generic ram before) and everything is fine.

ECS K7S5A experience

got my ecs in january. initially i had many problems with it, but changing to name-brand ram fixed EVERYTHING. It's amazing how one little bad part can completely mess up your comp. needless to say, i am now completely satisfied with it.
