1. See if you can to into the bios and use the default settings.
2. Boot from floppy to rule out HD problem.
3. Do you hear a beep? Look up the beepcode from the BIOS manufacturer.
The long way is to open up the PC and take it apart.

Tell them you want to be added to the local administrator group OR ask them to create a local account for you and put that in the local admin group.
Radeon works fine in Win2k. The DVD works also in win2k. You can download the updated driver for win2k from ATi website after you install the retail driver that came with it.
Extract the two disks to a folder. From there run the setup.exe.
Make sure you made a blank bootable dos disk.
Once you run the setup point it to the A: drive as the destination. You might have to choose something like "Network adapter not shown..." and have it point where your DOS...
Download these two disks from ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/BusSys/Clients/MSCLIENT/
and then run the setup to create a network client in DOS.
You might have to edit the autoexec.bat/config.sys...I dont remember.
