POLL: Favorite Vietnam War Movie...

I'm not surprised by how many of you have choosen Full Metal Jacket. It IS a really good movie, but it's not a GREAT Vietnam War movie, imo. Not compared to some of those other movies listed.

Why?

The only thing in the system tray is CoolMon. Infact, I have a lot of services disabled, and have no extra programs running at start up (besides CoolMon). I'm not whining asshole. I'm seeking information. Uptime has no importance to me, but I am oh so proud of you for having had a server up...

Alright, my system has been up for 4 days now. I've been downloading a lot, extracting large files, I have launched many applications over and over again since I 1st booted. My system is totally lagged now. I know it's probably my hard drive. I need to run disk defrag, but I guess my question...

Xp has it's own burning software?

It's built in... not really software. Just double click on your CD-R(W) drive. You can drag and drop files in there, or just right click on file(s) and click send to> what ever drive your CD-R(W) is.

Explorer.exe lock ups

Anyone else have problems with this? I've now had this problem on two different systems. Explorer.exe will lock up and I won?t have access to the start menu and usually nothing on the screen. I have to go to task manager and "end task"; then open explorer.exe again. This is not Internet...

Says right on the box... 2600+ with 333 MHZ FSB Or am I incorrect in thinking that the bartons have 333fsb and the tbreds are 266FSB?

What's up with that? Nothing is reading my cpu as 2.13GHz which is what it's stupposed to be (AXP 2600+Barton) General System Properties reads it as 2.09, SiSoftware Sandra 2003 reads it as 2.09, 3dmark03 reads it as 2088Mhz. What's the deal?

On boot it says "Verifing DMI Pool Data" everytime. This used to happen on my old board when I made changes to the bios, but it does it everytime on the A7N8X. Is there something in the BIOS I can do to change this? Also, USB Controller is coming up as an other device (?) in the device manager...

Will you ever purchase another CRT monitor again?

I like high resolutions and refresh rates so I'm sticking with the CRTs; atleast until the prices come down on the LCDs.

Having trouble copying Windows XP CD

It's perfectly legal, let me assure you. As cleverhandle said, I just want to back up my OS which happens to be very important media. I've had the CD for a long time, and I would rather scratch up a backup than the original copy.

Having trouble copying Windows XP CD

I'm trying to copy my Windows XP CD, but I'm having problems with it. I burned it... cd to cd copy with nero, but it doesn't work correctly. I also tried ripping all the files off the CD and making a data CD with nero. That didn't work either. What's the problem? CD protection or something?

Weird happenings with hard drives.

Eeks ! What is this on my ceiling ?

It's termites. I had them in are old house. Those exact same things were hanging in my walk in closet. If you look closely, you can probably see one pop it's head out. 1st we just knocked them down and plastered (stucko? or whatever) over the holes, but they came back with in a few weeks...
