Im Pretty sure i have the V77L the box just says V77 Series. One Quirk though, Sandra reports my fan running at 6250rpms! Is this something thats wrong with my mobo. I have a ePOX 87KA. The bios reports the same thing too. Wierd :P
No,
But still those are some pretty high temps for a good case and fan setup. But i remeber that some motherboards temp diode thingamajiggers vary greatly from Manufacturer to Manufacturer.
Gene: That is what I was planning to do, just go ahead and buy a new heatsink with a 80mm fan. But I really like my current Thermal Integrations Heatsink Base, its a snap to clamp down onto the cpu. Theres no chance of broken lugs, etc.
Zap: Yeah, I dont have a blower, I have a Thermal...
That is very high for a Athlon XP, something is wrong if your are getting those high temps.
With a Stock Cooler on my Amd 1800+ I got 47idle and 50load. Are you guys using thermal paste? I dont know why you would be getting such high temps. And I even have a crappier case than yours.
Hey!
I just took the Coolermaster fan off my northbridge (or southbridge whatever). I have an ePOX 8K7a (AMD 761) Motherboard witha Amd 1700+. Will this affect my computer in any way? It has a little heatsink on it. I read somewhere that a northbridge fan in not needed. Is this true?
Hello,
How would I take my 70mm fan on my current heatsink, and make it so I can add a 80mm Panaflo. I have seen 60mm to 80mm Adapters but not anything from 70mm to 80mm... Please Help!

Are you sure you peeled off the tape from the bottom of the heatsink? I've done this before, just a check. And if there's no stuff on the bottom of the heatsink, thats why you are getting such high temps. I would suggest that you immediatley buy some Artic Silver Paste.
Chiggachu:
I tryed it once more (to my dismay) and I still yielded the same results. One thinking of me, is that this heatsink uses a different "clamping" mechanism. Instead of using like 50 pounds of pressure to install the 2 lugs on other heatsinks, such as the Stock one. You set the "minor"...
Thanks for the tips Guys!!!
My computer was louder than an airplane. I never thought of the fan in the PSU.
So I opened up my case, had an Enermax PSU. I also noticed before I replaced the fan, it was VERY hot/warm by the PSU. I opened up the PSU, took out the POS Adda Fan by unplugging the...
