I've got the LiDe 30 model, and just to get things straight, its usb 2 compatible, but its only a usb 1.1 device (speed-wise). it doesn't run any faster with a usb 2 port (actually, for me, it ran slower) . I think Canon is phasing these models out for actual usb 2 full speed devices.
