I can't. It's not an option in there :(
Do you think that even though i've disabled it in windows it's still screwin up my sound to the Audigy 2 ZS notebook card? (ie sending only 2 channel sound)
Hi there,
I'm working on setting up a theatre system on my Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2 laptop and I purchased the Audigy 2 ZS Notebook and Logitech z-5500 speakers. I've done search on these forums already and noone seems to have this problem.
However, I'm running into a problem that is...
So I'm looking to buy a USB TV Tuner for my laptop, but I don't know jack about these things so I'd figure I'd ask everyone.
There's 2 models I've been referred to.
DVico Fusion HDTV5 USB

I've been drooling over this monitor since day one... is there ANY release dates or anything about this monitor? What sucks even more is it doesnt show up on Samsung Canada's site ;\
Tom's Hardware only crapped on the 172x because they got the 16ms one. However, Samsung has upgraded it to 12ms response time and new reviews are out for that one. Just do a google search for Samsung 172x. There isn't that much reviews because its still "quiet" and not much talk about it.
But...
You see nothing on the screen? Could be something wrong with your video card also.
Try using a different video card and see if you see anything on the screen.
And also try Jayczar's suggestion.. try using a different memory stick and see if it fixed the problem.
If worst comes to worst...
Dell just came out with their new Dell Digital Jukebox model (supposedly the IPOD) killer.
http://www.techtv.com/news/products/story/0,24195,3558236,00.html
I think it looks much uglier than the IPOD but its cheaper.
Here is some advice, some are obvious and you may have already tried them:
1. Did you try holding the power button?
2. Remove the connector from the motherboard and flip it to the other side then plug it back in. (ie. reverse it) Sometimes when i connect those things I put them the wrong way...
I know this doesn't answer your question, but you should use this one instead
Ad-Aware:

Download the personal edition one, its free.
It's a great program, catches all the spyware.
I can't return the receiver. My dad wants to keep it to listen to the radio. I think i'll just get the Z-680's. I'll figure out a way to hook it all up. Thanks alot for all your help. I really appreciate the time you guys spent.
how can i tell if a subwoofer will work with these NSP-1 speakers?
i've been looking at these subwoofers:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3061398647&category=3275
Are these compatible with them?
The Logitech Z-680's are 400$ (cdn), these JRL NSP-1 Set is 300$ (cdn).
Should i just put up the 100$ extra to get the 680's? But then i have the problem again of having 2 Receivers... if i just get those NSp-1 speakers i wont have a problem of 2 Receivers...
any insight? What should my...
Have you tried using a different copy of Windows XP? Could the something wrong with the disc... If you bought it you can still use the cd key you bought just try a different physical cd...
I just need something temporary right now... maybe like 5 years tops... Something like these speakers that Gunbuster has mentioned seem like the perfect fit for me.
couple of quick questions for these speakers.. couldnt find any answers to them on the net..
do they support DTS, Dolby, and are they THX certified? (i'm just curious)
As well, would they work with my receiver 100% for sure without me blowing them...
What do you mean by real world "40-75"?
I don't mind not having a subwoofer if its not really needed... do the speakers have enough bass in them? Like they sound good? I have a pair of Z-540's for my computer.. would the bass for these speakers at least match that?
I was browsing around for some specs for these... 100 W doenst seem much? I honestly don't know anything about speakers... also it seems like there's no subwoofer with these.. would the bass be any good?
I completely agree, I told him that its such a waste of money. For the money he spent on that receiver i could've gotten those kick ass Z-680's man...
So is there any advice on what i should do than? Don't get the z-680's? Is there any good places that just sell speakers that are like the z-680s.
Hey Kutter, I wanted to get those Logitech Z-680's. But like i said, it comes with its own receiver/decoder right? So does it make sense to hook up the logitech receiver/decoder with the receiver that my dad got? Or can i just not use the logitech receiver and straight up just hook the speakers...
Thanks guys,
I'm willing to spend like $300-400 canadian.
I've never heard of Energy speakers? nor Paradigm?
So what exactly is THX? I hear about it alot but never had it clarified..
Hey guys,
Here's my situation. A couple of weeks ago my dad purchased a Sony Receiver for 350$ cdn from BestBuy. It's this model:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1051826209197&skuId=5381883&type=product&productCategoryId=cat03031
The problem is that its such a waste because our...

Hey guys, I have a problem. I have a Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad Pro. When it is already plugged into the computer when it is off, and i start the computer it freezes in the beginning screen where it shows the drives. It doesnt even get to showing the drives. IT checks the memory then shows the...
Hi there, I have an Intel p4 2.66b cpu, MSI 850E Max motherboard and I seem to have a problem with overheating. When i run the 3dmark 2003 program and do the CPU testing, it starts beeping after a couple of seconds, and the beeping gets louder and faster. Does anyone know why this is happening...
Hi There, I need some help deciding which LDC flatpanel to get. There is a sale going on right now , massive savings!
I need to know whats the difference between these 2 monitors:
NEC MultiSync LCD1765 (What the heck is Multisync?)...
Another question, how the heck do you clean LCD screens? For my CRT i just take a soft tissue and wipe it... it works great, gets rid of the smudges and stuff.
Wow I wasn't expecting so many replies so fast, thanks alot to everyone on their input.
I was browsing around and i came across this one,
http://www.samsung.com/Products/Monitor/LCDMonitor/Monitor_LCDMonitor_172T_sp.htm
It seems pretty good, the price is around where I wouldn't mind...
Hi, I'm so eager to get one of those cool new LCD's but I'm a hardcore online gamer (mostly play BF1942) and I was wondering where the LCDs now a days are at. ie. Are they any good for games yet ? I've heard over the years that they aren't too good for gaming so I never bothered purchasing one...
Yea definately there is something wrong with your power supply if you tried your friends and it works. I also recommend the Enermax 350W one. Im using it and its great.. silent and the back and bottom fans both cool your system nicely... The PS is so important that it is often overlooked, and i...
I had a bad, first experience with them. I bought a Geforce 4 TI 4200 but they had sent it to the wrong address. So they contacted me and I just said forget it and got all but the shipping money back. I emailed them alot asking them about where it was because it had been a long time.. but there...
I would recommend 350 W which is whati have.. and make sure its a good brand powersupply. I have learned from personal experience that it is very important to have a good PS, none of those 20$ ones that are included in the case.
I went for the Radeon 9500 PRO because it will last longer thanks to the DX9 compatibilities. And since DX9 just came out there wont be a DX10 for a looong time... and plus the 9500 PRO beats out the 4200 in every benchmark.
Im not too sure who made the module. I know about companies like crucial and stuff, but when i bought it it didnt mention which company made the module, i just looked on the chip to see who the maker was.
Do you think flashing the bios would do anything? If so, how do you do it in XP?
My ram...
