    As I mentioned a few posts above, .cda are associated with WMP 9 (final, all updates installed). I tried real player and it gave me "no audio cd inserted". I have the latest drivers for my soundcard.

    I just found out that I can still rip an audio cd. I have just ripped some tracks with audiograbber and encoded them to mp3, they played flawlessly.

    I'm pretty sure both drives are ok. As I told you already, the cds played fine in the same cd-rw when it was in my previous PC.

    I tried old CDs, new CDs, CDs I burned,.... nothing works, I still get the same error. I'm sure all the CDs are ok because they play on other PCs.

    I formatted my 4gig HD, and partitioned it with FDisk, to create two 2gigs partitions (and a third with the left over 7.7MB), C: has a transfer rate of ~9MB/s while D: and E: have ~5.5MB/s. C: and E: are FAT16 while D: is FAT32, I'm using WinMe. Any ideas?

    How do I completely disable system restore in winme?

    I need to disable once and for all, because whenever disk cleanup automatically runs, system restore is reenabled when I restart. Someone told me that I need to uncheck Statemgr and PCHealth from msconfig in the startup tab, should I?? Other tips are very welcome!!

    I'm really confused right now, which board should I buy?? I'm going to underclock it to 100MHz since I can't afford those new P4. I heard that i845E will not support higher than DDR266 and that not many companies will build i850E boards... Any suggestions??
