so true, but I let a locale "engineering enthusiast" do something...and it could very well be that the Junir High might be disappointed at some future date, in which case, I'll give them another PC I have around.

Was wondering how this might go if you flashed the P4B533 bios onto the P4B266 as I did with mine. Can't go back to any P4B266 bios of course, but since I've donated my board and P4 1.6a to the local Junior High after doing so..(it works flawlessly and they won't know till they start fooling...

Tell Your PC Graphics History + CPU at the time

Strongly agree with you both there. And Mingon, my stick of 512mgs is going a cool 176mhz...and has been higher without error. Yours I see, going strong there too. I've always bought from Crucial directly...they've been great over the years. The current stick has Samsung chips on it...

1.6a @2.1 P4s333...CPU temps accurate in PC Probe?

The new version of Asus Probe now reads cpu temp correctly, v 2.16.02. It's on Asus web site for download. Also, the temps match what Motherboard monitor seems to pick-up as well. You didn't mention what OS you were using...but any version under ME seems to run very warm. good luck
