I am not a smart man... BUT what is the 12" cord with a male USB connection at the end protruding out the back of motherboard all about? It is not shown or listed in my manual, err 2 Setup Guides. Manual?? Oh. 79 pages! Gotta download that baby. Stand by.

GA-P35-DS3L Giving me a headache

Just ordered a new lens.

Good luck. I just sent a 17-55 f/2.8 IS 'refurbished by Canon' back to bhphotovideo. Pics were blurry. The pros would say 'soft'. Reordered a 24-105mm f/4 L IS EF USM @ about the same cost. We shall see.

Azatek... Quailty refurbished monitors?

USB Drives Not Recognized By My PC's...

You need at least the SP1 update to XP. USB drivers are in this update. Goto Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager and right clk on something under USB Controllers>Properties>Update Drivers. If that doesn't work, I don't have a clue.

What Power Supply would you recommend?

Well, don't know whether you can believe Tom's Hardware or not, but their 'stress test' on a bunch of psu's is here: http://www.tomshardware.com/howto/200507111/stresstest-23.html The 600 watt Seasonic S12 600 came out on top. Do a google. Around $135.

Detection Issues

If I were you, I'd disconnect 2 of those drives and install your operatiing system. After everything is working properly, then hook-up other drives. Some mb's have a problem mixing pata & sata drives.

Disconnect the 60gb ide. Re-boot just to make sure you hosed your RAID 0. If you want to install an operating system on your single IDE, disconnect those raid drives 1st. (you can turn em' on later) Whatever you do, DON'T have any extra drives connected when you install the operating...

How about this. Goto office supply that sells HON Office Furniture. Hon makes a solid, heavy formica table with metal frame/legs 30" X 60" X 26" high. Plain. No drawers. It's not cheap. $200 - $300 as I recall. Or you could look around for a laminating plant that manufactures counter tops...

If Firefox is anything like Mozilla, make sure 'popups' are turned off in preferences and then when on the offending site goto Tools> Cookie Manager> Block Cookies From This Site. Works for me.

SATA problems...hard drive maybe dead

I doubt you have to flash MB bios. See page 38 of Manual: Boot Device Priorty. Before WinXP install, set 1st to CD Rom. Then at 1st Windows install RE-BOOT, go into bios and set 1st to floppy, 2nd to Harddrive. See page 22: 2.9 Make SATA Driver Diskette. Make this floppy using CD from...

Refurbished 22" NEC CRT

I purchased a Mutsubishi 19" and a 22" from them less than a year ago. Both monitors are perfect like new. Go here for the 22": http://www.azatek.com/details.asp?iid=485 It has a USB hook-up for on-screen adjustments using the mouse. VERY handy!
