Yep thanks, 150fsb OC on stock cooler??? So erm does that mean that its effectively 133 fsb at stock speed, no OCing? Im new to this stuff

HD speed comparisons?

Question about this mobo!

Thanks, Im getting a Seagate barracuda IV 7200 rpm and I think they take much bigger overclocks don't they? I havent seen any probs in forums at all. 125 fsb isnt like those 160 fsb ones people with p4 1.6a s are doing.

Help! Cant make a slotket work!

Bacillus, I dont have manual for it, its secondhand( I doubt its dead its from a reputable dealer) but J1->J5 is labelled on the slotket so I got that right. I meant I might have put the jumper the wrong war round on the correct pin, like back to front, dunno if it matters. Im new to upgrading...

GA-8SR533 reviews?

This mobo is cheap as dirt and looks great on specs, I spose its the successor to teh GA-8srx which from what I gather on forums was a good mobo also. I cant find any reviews on the net but it looks great, esp if it OCs well like the GA-8srx which got good FSB for its price.

Noob questions about this mobo

GA-6VTXE Does it have onboard sound or LAN at all, it doesnt say so in the URL Does it have onboard graphics? (I hope not but I dont think it does as it has an AGP slot) Is it a good mobo for a Tualatin celeron?

Slotket help

Id rather not use zipties, the slocket was just given to me by someone it doesnt have any spacers and I dont even know what type it is or even if it supports 100fsb it says "for pentium2" on it, Ill just buy a newer one with spacers. Thanks for help.

AGP for 440BX2

I just installed 256mb of "double sided" corsair xms 150 in my GA-6BXC and it counts it all in "memory test" in the POST screen and in various windows appz like system info, are you sure about that? Im new to computers and it may be counting it ok but not actually using half of it I dunno...

384 mb PC133 or 256 DDR ? (WinXP)

Yeh DDR is only about 10% faster with an Athlon, maybe 20% in a p4 system if Im not mistaken

75GXP IBM HDs, are they that bad?

Ok Ill pass on that then, thanx for that. Western Digital? I thought Maxtor were the best 7200 rpm HDs ATM? They are a tiny bit faster than Seagate 'cuda IVs and reliable I heard. Western Digitals are a bit more expensive too. The speed only matters for gaming for me, nothing else stressing it...
