i already posted about this board, the deluxe version, both here and on amdmb.com here http://forums.pcper.com/forumdisplay.php?s=d35c9563555cb3da75e3154c205d50a7&f=8 in this forum.
These boards have some serious issues about being VERY picky with what memory they work with. Asus later bios...
I have been running this board fine for some time now, like 3 months, I went to reboot it the other day and it would not boot but would beep one long slow beep over and over.
I have swapped out the power supply, motherboard (vendor swap yesterday Bios 1013 is on it, new fan on the bridge...

yup, CompUSA is running a special on a gateway model with the ati 9600 chip and modible athlon 65 bit processor. I know severa people who got them for 750$ after rebate during the madness sales.
T41 or T42 hands down. Especially if you are at all mobile with it. The thinkpads are always a year or two ahead of everyone else motherboard design-wise the quality of manufacture simply can no be beat.
Inspiron? ugh, makes me cringe, if I had a dime for every post where I saw someones...
I am wondering about this drive and its firmware readiness.
I updated a new one to firmware 1.10 and then burned a TDK 4x +R disc in it , 4.7gb size in case anyone speculates its a dual layer its not and I dont think they are out. It only burned at 2.4x.
These TDK +R 4x's tend to be very high...
I visited a store today, and two managers today had an answer on the PNY 6800 Ultras in like 2 minutes for me.
There are 25 on order, 28 prepaid in the CompUSA system.
I don't know but I assume that means nationwide. If that is true not many people actually got in on this. I am beginning to...
Did anyone get an ETA for the PNY 6800 Ultra's from anyone at COMPUSA?
Anyone ever bought one from there? Either before or during this sale and HAVE it currently?
thanks
I have a dell dimension 8400 on order, but it wont ship until August they claim.
I was thinking, I might be able to build a system very close to spec or maybe with an AMD chip instead as fast but cheaper if I have to wait that long.
Suggestions on motherboards etc.
the 8400 uses the 925x...
I got a computer with this integrated onto the motherboard and I can't get it to recognize the network card, when I go the internet setup menu and try to define a new ethernet connection, and choose the broadcom card and activate it, it gives me the error message 3c501 not present or unable to...
No it does not work, so its normal for all those properties to be blank?
I know taroon is the enterprise class version of linux and that it comes with firewall and extra network utilities, I am wondering if just need to run a utility somewhere.
I just went into the internet setup portion of...
Mine booted up 64mb video memory and i changed it to 128mb video memory though for my linux install thats probably way overkill, just an fyi for those with video bios issues.
I installed Tarron, the beta of the Red Hat Linux on this box and it does see the network card, the properties for the interrupt and memory address are all blank does it need some special drivers?
Anyone know these values??
thanks
I installed Linux Taroon on this box, but cant seem to get it to find the integrated Broadcom network card, anyone have any ideas? or thoughs?
I check the properties, its missing the interrupt, memory addresses, all of it.
Does it require another driver or something??
HELP please!thanks...
Does anyone have or know if there was a copy of the cc AD so I could get my credit card to pricematch, I need a couple of the flyer, NOT the web page printed out.
thanks
These were 799$ and up when they came out.
CC has them on the website for 449$ and open box units or returns in the stores for 379$ or less.
Its currently the best OTA HDTV reciever made in almost all respects except no firewire output. BY far best PQ, and new reception technology. 4th/5th...
I have done a great deal of reading recently and it would seem the Intel 850E and possibly the 850 (no e) support PC1200 , just not officially.
I have been reading posts about people running the Samsung and OCZ RDRAM 1200 in their existing systems. Makes it run like new 875P Canterwood...

I have an Intel 850E board, the gigabyte 8IHXP rev 2.0, not the later 3.0.
I have done some fairly heavy reading it looks like most 850e motherboards if not all, unofficially support PC1200.
I just spend the money to buy parts to build a PC3500 875P system.
I was just wonder if the Samsung or...
The numbers read 9905200-011.A00, and the the model number is KHX3500/R.
I have read in several reviews on motherboards, reviewers comments, specifically saying Kingston has revised this memory at least twice from the original release. The articles said the original releases would not even...
I just picked up a pair of hyperx 512k modules, khx3500/512R at Best Buy.
What does the R mean?
Someone said revised, revised to what? They are the 2.6v, which I just read are supposedly bad and have lots of problems that the 2.5v version does not, but no one has really explained why to me???
I read the post, and I saw some people mention the 2.6v of the Kingston Hyperx has problems, where the 2.5v does not, anyone have the details on that.
I just picked up two 2.6v sticks OF Kingston Hyperx KH3500/512R as Best Buy, the are matching lots so I am planning on running them in dual...
Kingston 500MHz DDR
Kingston Technology yesterday began offering memory modules based on 466MHz and 500MHz DDR SDRAM.
Built to meet PC4000 specifications, is the first of its kind supposedly.
The lower-clocked part is a PC3700 module. DDR is usually clocked to 400MHz for inclusion in...
But what about pc1200 in this gigabyte 850e board ,. or its1066 samsung ram o/c to 1200, compared to this asus 875p deluxe e board?
Did any of you try that secret overclocking menu they enabled in bios versions F7 and F8? :clock:
What about pc1200 rdram in this or o/c the Samsung 1066 to 1200, which I am told the Samsung memory does easily.
Also know anything about this secret o/c menu that can now be made to appear in bios versions F7 and F8 for this board?
hmm, well then I am wondering if this board is much faster than my Gigabyte(850E chipset) rdram mb (8IHXP) with 1066 samsung rdram then.
My memory benchmark is around 3000-3300 mb ( and up, and I saw someone earlier only got in the 28xx-29xx with this asus board, and the gigabyte board is over...
I have Samsung 1066 memory in this with a 2.44 533fsb.
I can't seem to overclock it much, is it worth going to buy pc1200 memory?
I read this 1066 clocks to 1200 easily but can't get it to do so.
Also I read in bios bersions f7 and f8 gigabyte enabled that secret Bios settings menu for...
