Random Shut offs
I just got this board two weeks ago and now i am experiencing random turn offs. Ill just be in the middle of a task and boom - all power is down. Then if i try to immeadiately boot up again, everything powers up for about 5 seconds and then off again. once i wait 30 secs + it...

by the way, i have it and love it. only negative is the mouse batteries run out ~3 weeks. still the best mouse and keyboard i have ever used.

i think some people got it down to 660 a couple weeks ago bc they had 100 off coupons (one time use). without those i think this is the best price that has been offered.

ok, potentially stupid question. got mine in the mail today on the side of the box it has
"KIT: L01J080G
S/N: 664208159494"
then on the side in text perpendicular to the other text is simply has "J6L4." can anyone tell which drive this is without opening the wrapper?
with the 3rd party fan i will not fit in the old holes of the mobo...i guess if played with it enough i could get it to work, but i was hoping for a perfect fit. ill see what i can do this weekend and let you know.
CanisEstInVia - you dont have any fan running on your chipset? thought they would burn up fast, but i guess not. i bought a 3rd party fan but i could not get it to go on my mobo. i have emailed asus (a week ago) and still have not gotten a response....
i have an asus A7M266 and about a month ago the chipset fan started making loud irratating noises. i have looked but cannot find replacement fans. does anyone know of a good site for this stuff? its pretty bad when the smallest fan in my case is making the most noise.

my gf has one of these, we got for 329 AR last september from gateway.com. great monitor, but does not have dvi...and with 17 in prices dropping fairly fast, if you want a new monitor i'd pass. but if you want a 15 in analog, this is a great one.. no complaints....great ; text and i play games...
