Athlon 200GE - the ultimate great place-holder CPU?

Reliving this, I'm thinking about getting a nanostation loco m2 - NSM2L. Would that work or should I go to the nanostation m2 (not loco version)? Also, nanostation has more power than picostation, correct?

OK, I can put the AP outside but... any recommendations for which one to get? No need to be "outdoor proof" as I can protect it from rain and sun. Oh, and just to be clear: that's 50meters, window to window. not 50meters inside a building with multiple walls! Anyway, that's not the point...

I also looked at those but they: a) are a bit more expensive than I wanted to spend ($90 on amazon). b) them seem small and with a small antenna. Do they really have better range than a "normal" router or it's only the advantage of having them outside the building?

the only thing i regret about x1000 is the cd-rw/dvd drive isn't modular, you can't replace it with a modular battery :( if it had that it would be just a perfect, nice, good performance laptop anyone that has tested D800 can tell about the build quality of x1000 vs D800 ? it looks like x1000...
