Best OS for a 486 33sx? *UPDATED YET AGAIN* for any that care.

I'm contemplating the unthinkable - WinME!!!

I've had no problems with WinMe, at home or work. having said that, in all cases when upgrading from W98 to Me, I backed up all information and formatted the machines. Have had no major problems.

What's your defintion of STABLE??

For me, stability means no crashing under any circumstances, in programs *I* use. On some occations ive seen certain beta gfx card drivers for my GF DDR crash on older games I sometimes fire up for a laugh, but I dont really worry about it unless it happens on games I play regularly.

How high Vcore on a P3 700

Run a P3-550E @ 770 on a CUSL2 board, currently at 1.85v. I take it I shouldnt have any problems if I increase the voltage to 1.9v (1.95v?) to see whether I can eke out some more performance out of this CPU?

Before ATX and Micro-ATX, there was also the AT form factor, although you wont really need any info on that seeing as its rather defunct nowadays, unless you like collecting old PC's (p200 or older usually)

Best upgrade for a Socket 7 motherboard

K6-2+, assuing your super7 board's bios supports it (check the manufacturer's site for bios updates tho), many k6-2+'s are hitting 550-600mhz, which aint too shabby, at least according to reviews and some users in 3dnow.net's messageboards. Failing that, K6-3 450 if you can find one around...

Possible BIOS flash faliure (CUSL2)

Ok sorted. Cleared CMOS with a screwdriver (no bloody clear cmos jumper and couldnt be bothered soldering), and everythings hunky-dory. Thanks anyway.
