I got the drive on Monday, the 29th. It came with LiteOn box but looked like it had been opened. The plastic bag that the drive was in was not even taped up, as well as the box. There was a little bag with the manual, audio cable and 4 screws. There WAS not an IDE cable included. I run all SCSI...
The brown truck came today and dropped off the box, Dell site says it's delayed till 05/03 :Q. Did the first burn test with about 250meg in about 1m16s. Sweeeettt. I'll be ripping and burning audio with this drive for a while. My drive was manufacture 04/02, hopefully they fixed whatever bug...
Arhhh... all you lucky bastards :) :) ... Dell still has my order on delayed 'till 05/03. I ordered on the 18th. I just had another coaster with my 4x. There must be a CDRW God somewhere that I can pray to. :)

Anyone knows what'll happen to the "extra" stuff that you ordered with the drive (ie, the screw, blank cdr, in my case it's a mouse...
I got the email saying my order is delayed until 5/7/02, but when I checked the status on Dell's site, it shows 5/3/02 :confused: . I got my 90 cents mousepad I ordered the same time 2 days ago. Dell sucks :disgust: and my 4x is killing me. Hope everyone gets theirs sooner or later.

Yup. Me too. Got the delay email. I checked the order status on the website and it says "Currently one or more items are not available. Every effort is being made to complete your order. " It supposed to ship today. Guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks.
