That motherboard (with that processor too) has been solid for me. LOTS of bios options to play with too. Haven't had a single problem with it...except that the most recent ALi drivers will make your IDE devices show up SCSI (so don't install them).
bought this board and processor seperately a few months ago...no problems whatsoever...
Just make sure you mount your ram right...you gotta push it HARD to get it in on these boards...
maybe I'm crazy...but I believe that Solaris8 is the last one to do Intel...
again I'll ask what use this is to me (assuming I'm not implementing on a large organization level)...
Been posted with PSU before...but I'll say it again:
I bought this case a while back...looks great, light weight, terrible ventilation. There is very little room for fans if you don't want to do some cutting...and what room there is you'll only be able to fit 60mm fans...
I'm looking at this case right now and I don't have a clue what they are talking about "6 more fans"...there is no way in hell without cutting it up.
Also, the neon has a vibration sensor, so your speakers set it off (or you walking, or your tv, etc). You can turn that off, though, and just...
I bought this case (the one jeffbot mentioned, at lease) about a month ago. Nice case...very light, poorly ventilated with few options. There isn't really room for a good fan in the case if you aren't willing to do some cutting. There is a 60mm fan in the front (which you'll notice is...
****, you are right (very last line of the statement...shoulda seen it before)...
Oh well...two households it is. Why wouldn't you use different names?
to answer some questions:
yeah, the drives together in a RAID0 amount to ~150GB. I had no problems whatsoever...setup the array in the Highpoint BIOS and then partitioned and formatted in XP.
also, I picked them up at B&M...the clerk printed two receipts and gave me two rebate forms...I wasn't...
I'm a moron...disregard my previous post...I woke up this morning and realized that "80GB" != 80gig...instead "80GB" = 80,000,000,000 bytes. Base 2 math rocks.
Anyway, both drives I got were 540's, for what it is worth
MdkExecutive:
I just purchased two of these badboys to RAID...and n00b though I may be, I'm having some troubles:
The Highpoint controller (Iwill XP333R) sees the drives just fine, but the MaxBlastPlusII software that comes with it to setup and format the drives doesn't appear to see the...
I have a similar problem...
I installed WinXP (but this happened with 2000 as well), and now no matter what I set the bios boot order to the machine won't boot unless I have the install disk in the cd-rom. In fact, it won't boot unless set to boot off of the cdrom...
I've cleared cmos a few...
Alright...I have a GF4 440MX. It is my understanding that these don't do DX8.1. On the other hand, the driver CD that came with the card has DX8.1 on it. Should I do DX8.1, or stick with just DX8?
Thanks, everyone. It turns out I'm just stupid. The beep code was for memory problem rather than psu problem (reading is fundamental and all).
It is up and runnning now. Thx again :).
Has anyone used a Raidmax psu? I just put together a system with a raidmax 400W on an Iwill xp333r mobo and the POST is beeping like there is a power supply problem. The psu runs, and I have checked all the connections several times.
I have been looking around for any documentation on...
