usb scanner isn't detected

my next question is if the usb port is detected, then what would keep it from loading my printer drivers that I have been using with a parallel cord? and why does it load scanner drivers but doesn't detect scanner? it seems like the two would be related somehow

apparently you've never had to purchase these items with your own money unless you somehow seem to have an endless supply.... but most people, like myself, are paying too many bills and not making enough money to get $100 software. i would love to run into someone like him in my neighborhood...

burned CDs won't read in the CD-R drive

i'm here but i don't have any idea, try cleaning your cd player with a cd cleaner, the kind that plays music while it's cleaning. worked for me but i don't have win xp;)

I tried my printer's USB port and of course I uninstalled the drivers first, then plugged it in, and the New Hardware wizard came up and did everything right until I went to install the drivers. It says the computer cannot communicate with the printer and to check my plug ins and my inf. file...

i have installed a usb port on my computer, which has been recognized, but every time i try to use the scanner, it says cable is not connected? i have reinstalled the drivers for the scanner several times. any suggestions??? :disgust:
