Cooling with car fans

Here is an idea for all you cooling freaks. Try using the fans from a car air conditioning system. I'd try it but a lack of junkyards around here provents me for getting a cheap one. They run off a 12 volt system (the amps or watts I don't know). What I do know is that some are too large...

can this be done?

If you do bolt togeather don't forget the locktight. We don't want to see those conductive little nuts rolling around in your case. And if they are rivits, drill. You won't end if cutting the hell out of your case trying to get them off. Good luck. GMC

Using Pots to make LED's produce all colors

An interesting idea. I'm not sure how well LED's dim. I wouldn't use a fan bus as they deliver too much power and can blow LED's. Go with a simple pot you can get at Radioshack. And to get color mixing you would have to have each LED on it's own pot. Also you'd only have to use the three...

gainward 4400?

Well I was one of the many that had problems. The problem was (according to Gainward) a batch of bad memory. They say that they have fixed the problem. But that also means that there might be some bad cards out there still. Because it's a hardware problem it has nothing to do with new newegg...

Gainward GeForce 4 4400 problem

Well I RMA'ed it and recieved a new one. Guess what, same problem. It's not as bad this time but it still happens. I tried the latest BIOS (1009 on my Asus a7v133), latest 4 in 1 drivers from Asus, fresh install of windows (98) and new nvida drivers. Still nothing. I am weary of sending it...
