I've checked several sites and none list this virus. I'm sure that they'd be very interested in this.
Try contacting www.kaspersky.com or http://securityresponse.symantec.com/ (good luck), or
http://www.gito.com/software/intro/version1/ (good luck).
(yeah, I'm partial to kaspersky)
<Quote>1. Are all the nvidia geforce2 cards software compatable? Could I just replace one with another without Windows noticing or requiring a driver reinstall? (Bit of a long shot this one...)</Quote>
I've done this with a GTS and GTS-V; windows never noticed. Also, GF3 and GF4.

Could you be more specific?
Are you trying to do a search using IE?
If you are, and you deleted a "default" to which IE goes to perform the search, then I'd say, yup, that's the problem; ie,
you do your searches from .net.
If you did a "delete" rather than "uninstall" of this .net thingy...
You _might_ try disconnecting all peripherals and pulling all cards except the video card and see what happens.
If it boots, then you know that your Power Supply is weak. If it doesn't boot, your supply could be weak.
AMD has a webpage that has approved PS for their processors. Sorry, I...
You didn't define which Windows OS that you are using, but I assume that it is Win2K.
Now, I don't have a solution, but this is what I would try:
- Open the device manager and delete (remove) the items with the yellow exclamation point.
- Reboot
- Go into BIOS and set ECSD to ENABLE...
My wild guess is that you have a memory problem.
If you have more than one stick, pull one out and try connecting again. If
that causes an error, substitute sticks. If that still causes the same problem then
you _might_ have a memory controller problem, ie, motherboard needs to be
replaced.
I...
Well, believe it or not, paper has (ahem) 2 sides :), by which I mean, try "flipping" the paper over.
I'm serious about this. Most paper has a very slight curl.
Try it.
I installed this card on my computer. The TV function works fine. The FM does not work.
When I check for installed drivers, there is none installed for audio.
I've tried uninstalling the drivers and applications, and then reinstalling. I've
moved the card to another slot on the motherboard...

On second thought, I'm gonna get an Enlight PS from Newegg to replace this one.
It puts out so much RF noise that I can't listen to distant AM stations on my radio.
This PS is, IMHO, junk.
Got mine from PCA today.
The case was bent due to poor packing. It was easily bent back into position because the metal is very soft.
This is a rather "cheap" power supply. The supply case is formed to have a grommet for the power wires, but instead of
a grommet, it uses a cable tie.
The PS...
