they dont really block the ports per se.. its more like they pick up on "P2P-like activities" and block your internet access. I got temp block for using Mirc before. Its very restrictive.
anyone know if the downloaded programs act as P2P(kazaa,bittorrent) in its ability to stream the channels? I using a university connection and they have ICARUS in place that will detect P2P activities and disconnect your internet access.

I don't think its the Cable Modem because I connected that to a Router and connected like 4 other computers to the router and my internet connection with the other computers are fine. I also tried disconnecting my NIC card as well...
