Wow my machine must be crap then. I have a K7s5a, not oc, with and xp2200+ with 521mb pc2100 and my WU time is about 3:45 -4:00 hours. I have another machine with a 1.4 tbird and MSI board it does them in 5 hours. Should me 2200+ be faster?
I am not sure about the game cube but with my PS1 I played games I got from Japan. They worked fine. Not sure if the cube is DVD or not like the PS2. My concern if it was that they use the region thing like on DVD movies. Wish I knew more, but here is a bump :)
Little update. Been running Seti non stop since I finished install. Temps are about 67c on the CPU using the MSI monitoring software that came with the KT3. Let me just say with 3 machines now crunching Seti non-stop in my room it is VERY hot in there. Planning on rearranging machine...
well running at 133mhz FSB seti spy sees the CPU as 1400mhz temps were around 61-62C while CPU was loaded for about 10 minutes. Setting FSB to 100mhz seti spy sees the CPU as 1050mhz temps were around 56C while CPU was loaded for about 10 minutes. At what point do these chips make fire?

I just got a MSI KT3 ultra board and it sets in 1mhz increments. I had a 1.4 AMD t-bird but I am not sure if it is 200mhz or 266mhz like the AMD website said they came in. Is there a way to check this with out pulling the thing out of the Mobo? Plan to OC at some point with this board but...

Anyone know if there is a DOS command similar to, I believe it is TOP in UNIX. I would like to via a telnet session be able to check utilization of CPU and processes. A command that would display results similar to taskmanager? Any ideas?

OK the opinion of the newbie is USE CLI. Cut the time by 1/3. Did a WU in a bit over 4 hours and was doing web surfing too on my XP2200 machine. Wow. Dropping CLI on my 800 now too. Got SetiSpy up and running too. Anyway got a big WOOT I got 6 WU done :)
Well I will check out the CLI version when I get home. I noticed it processed much faster set to blank screen so it should cut times even more. Of course I will miss the pretty graphs though ;)

After a reinstall of win2k sp2 still won't stay up. Memory settings are 1:1 3t 3t 6t 1t is disabled. Windows is showing the HDD at DMA mode at least but while installing the drivers the mouse icon ceases to move and it won't reboot. Not sure is this is a hardware fault or a driver issue now...
