    the weight isnt really the big issue for motherboards. THe moment(torque) that the heatsink creates on the motherboard is the important factor. a 1kg heatsink that sits 2inches off the board would have the same torque as a 500g heatsink that sits 4 inches off the board food for thought

    i would like to have someone tell me how btx is any better than designing an atx case to blow air from the front on to the heatsink. this may require dimension adjustsment of hwere the hds and cd drives are, but i can guarantee that it would cool as well as btx.

    well not really, but the problem is that they designed btx around an atx case but they changed the bloody thing so atx and btx arent compatible. There is NO REASON to be confined to the layout of a normal case, there are far better ways to organize stuff instead of the front lower/rear upper...
