Corsair XMS 3200 Good Enough?

:DGet some Twinmos PC3200 w/Winbond BH-5 chips HERE!! I had 2x512 sticks running @ 221mhz @ 2-3-3-6 stable w/ a 2500 Barton on an A7N8X. Or try the CH-5 chips!! I ran Corsair XMS for a long time and was really impressed by the Twinmos. Of course YMMV.

man my 2500+ barton is hella disappointing...

:DMine's at 190x12.5 @2.38GHz. 1.85 vcore, 32c under load.I need a voltage mod for my A7N8X. I'll have to check the date of the chip.

:DI've got mine running at 190x12.5 @1.85 vcore. That's 2.38GHz!! Under load it's only at 32c, w/ a slk-800. If I could get more vcore I could go higher, Is there a volt mod for the A7N8X? CRANK THAT BITCH UP!!!!!

ASUS p4b533e board and what memory?

:cool:When I had that board I ran Corsair XMS PC 3500c2 w/ it. You can't go wrong w/ XMS, be it 2700, 3000, 3200 or 3500! Get a 512mb stick and let it rip. Have fun!!

:DGet the cheapest version you can, put tweakmonster BGA ramsinks on ($25 @ sidewindercomputers.com) the stock hsf is adequate. And bang 365.5/355 you're rockin, 17,007 3Dmarks!!! Don't forget to put some artic alumina under the hsf. If ya wanna go big ya got to mod! If you mod, you void...

ti4600 or radeon 9700

:cool:I've got both! As the Radeon 9700 is an awesome piece of hardware, if saving money is what you need to do, get the Ti-4600. The framerates of the 9700 are definately higher but the graphics are pretty close, to the naked eye!

;)Yeah, but that's because more people own those cpu's cause they're more affordable!! The only thing you're gonna get to 3.0GHz is basically a 2.66 0r 2.8 P4. No AMD chip is gonna be over 2.2-2.3 unless someone's got a XP2600+ and the majority of people own 1.6 to 2.26 P4's and XP1600's to...

:DI just got my 9700 a week ago and I'm just realizing the potential of this awesome card. I have a P4 2.66 Northy w/ C1 stepping. This proc rocks, no matter what I do, I can't get it over 38c at load. It's an ice cube!!! Any way, 162 fsb w/ 3:4 divider for 3.2GHz, DDR 426 w/ Corsair XMS...

:confused: A guy has one of these for sale. He says the multiplier is unlocked. I had a 2.8 'Intel Confidential' and the multiplier was NOT unlocked. Anybody have any info or experience w/ these???
