Why?

I've noticed that too. I don't know why. Maybe because there are more copies of XP out there to get. Or maybe so that you'll be more tempted to get XP instead of 98. <shrugs>

Strange boot message in WinXP

Go to, Control Panel/System/Advanced. Under the startup and recovery options click settings. Then set the time to show list of operating systems to zero. It doesn't fix the problem, but you don't have to mess with it anymore.

explorer.exe causing interval graphic stutter

Before you do that try Startup Control Panel and EndItAll 2. Between the two of them, you should be able to narrow your search a lot faster than doing another install, by turning off certain apps from running in the background, and then trying.

2 HDs with their own OS..can I dual boot them?

HOW TO: Create a Multiple-Boot System in Windows XP You may not want to do it this way since it might require a fresh install of windows. If not the bios way already mentioned is probably your best bet.
