Computer wont boot.

Computer wont boot.

I just finished building a system and I am having problems. Here is the problem. In order to boot the computer I had to power off and on several times. Those times that it wouldn't boot up, the power was still on but nothing was happening. There was no method to booting up, it would just boot...

Question about a case

I have a question about a computer case that more experienced builders might be able to help me with. I would like to buy this Lian-Li case http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16811112116 but I am worried about the side fan and the fan on the back being obtrusive to anything...

Watch out for the stray piano falling from high places Lisa...sounds like a lot of bad luck has come your way. I have had nothing but good experiences with Dell. I stopped buying desktops 10 years ago (when I learned to build them), but thier laptops are wonderful. I am trying to decide...

Dell 600m Vs. 6000

One thing: I DO NOT plan to play GAMES on this machine. I own a 600m, but I am selling it to a friend. Even though I wont be playing games there may be some need for multimedia on certain occasion, so some punch will be needed. Some hi-end design programs may be used (Photoshop, etc)...

kursplat - Yes, I loaded the drivers via the CD 'program'. I also uninstalled them and picked up the latest from Shuttles site. Sound isn't that important for this computer, but I needed it, so I ended up buying a cheap Audio Card ($20) Thanks for the response. Otto

I have a Shuttle SB61G2 and after loading all the sound drivers, I don't get any sound. I have checked all the possible Audio preferences on Windows XP and there doesn't seem to be anything 'muting' the sound. All drivers report functional according to XP. I filled out the service form at...

P4 Mobo's and 250w Power Supply

Hey All, I am building a P4 system and have read in other places that using a 250w Power Supply may be too low. Can anyone confirm this? Should I up to 300w+? thanks, Otto

ApocalypseC1, I am not an expert and have only recently put my first machine together, but check the specs on the ASUS and the RAM voltage that's required. I was puting together my second system and the mobo required RAM that had 3.3 volts. If your RAM is new I can't imagine it being a problem...

**OFFICIAL ASUS P4B533-V (845G) THREAD**

I have finished putting my first system together - without error :D - using this ASUS mobo, but I do have one issue that someone more experienced might be able to answer. The ASUS Probe is telling me that the fan RPM is low. The threshold default is 1600 and I am just below it at about 1541...

Y, Thanks. I did that, but it stil wont pick up. I did find outthe problem with NetMeeting. Windows 2000 and XP have it's own version of NetMeeting. All other post 95 versions have their own version, which is on the MS web site for download. Otto

Win2k seen as old OS - what gives?!

To all, I have the latest version of Win2000 loaded and I am having a problem with ANY application that refers to my Intel WebCam. Apprently all of these types of software ( NetMeeting, Intel Video Phone ) seem to think I have Windows 3.1 or some other OS. The general error reads on a varition...
