Is it fair to compare my salary against salary surveys? UPDATE!

Don't ask for a 30% raise, ask to be paid fairly for your responsibilites and duties. This way you don't come off as greedy and you don't shock them with an arbitrary number.

Paypal Question

This has never happened to me, but I've heard that if the buyer disputes and wins paypal will withdraw the funds from your bank account. Which is why you should remove those funds into another checking account asap before paypal gets a chance to get it.

If they paid with an echeck and you're waiting for that to clear, then that's fine. If they paid with paypal funds or a credit card I think you should ship it out as soon as you receive payment. Of course if they are fine with it, then great. I know if I were the buyer I wouldn't want to wait...

Only if it's something he actually cares about. Ie - if he cares very much about cancer, I think it would be a fine gift to make a sizable donation in his name to a charity that he has interests in. But don't just get him a donation to something he doesn't give a sht about.

Good Chinese in Houston, Tx?

I'm chinese so I wouldn't say they were GOOD. The best place would be the chinese cafe on richmond; but their portions may be a bit small for you. I've been to lucky village a few times though and it's your standard chinese buffet. I would go if I really wanted to eat at a chinese buffet...

in the galleria area the most chinese I think you'll find is "chinese cafe" on richmond; right next to 24 hr fitness (they also have a restaraunt in the chinatown area) besides that.. pepper tree on westheimer next to blockbuster and kinkos pf changs on westheimer right outside the loop in...

tantan now is 100x better than it was 4-6 years ago when it was really dirty, and then a MILLION times better than it was before the shooting. Tip is usually added for me at tan tan when we have more than 6 I think. That's pretty standard at a lot of restaraunts. Bodard has taken credit cards...

black screen

Yesterday when I turned my computer on, it booted just fine. Windows started loading its blue bar, but after that the screen just stayed black. Didn't restart or anything, just black. Today, I try turning it on again and now nothing shows up on the monitor at all. Not sure where the problem...
