My guess is only one of the cores can handle the overclock, while the other core can't. I don't think the 4800 have that much headroom for overclocking anyway, so as soon as you start bumping the multiplier, you're probably pushing the chips too hard.
Just a word of warning, I bought one of these when they were going for about $249. Brought it home... two dead pixels... took it back. Exchanged for new one... brought it home... dead pixel... took it back. This time I demanded they test the monitor before I walked out the door with it. The...
Got my drive today too. Went to the easierrebates site like you said, and they had it listed just like you said, worked like a charm. Thanks again for posting the deal.
I think I have some bad news, on the OfficeMax website the 300i no longer says it comes with a $70 gift card! WTF! I'm so tired of OfficeMax's crap. I guess I'll email them to try to find out what happened, but if anyone has any info, please, please, fill me in.
Also, a note on the rebate...
I agree with most people in these forums that LiteOn's are the best value for the money. In CRC tests my Yamaha CRW-F1 just barely nudged out my 52x LiteOn burner, and the LiteOn one is half as much.
So that's why I thought it might interest all of you, especially in regards to this thread's...
They will probably point out the rebate, depending on the Store Manager or CSR, but you can always just return it I guess.
By the way OfficeMax is getting on my nerves lately: yesterday I tried picking up a HP 300e DVD burner (the thread about the deal is around somewhere). They called and...
I know they won't count the MSN, especially if you do in-store pickup.
I'm guessing they won't count the Gift Card, because as far as I know it's not considered a rebate because you can only use it at their store.
Alright, here's the deal:
Deal is dead.
Circuity City has the Canon S200 for $280 w/$50 mail-in gift card.
If you use MSN Wallet to checkout you get 20% back, which is $56.
OfficeMax has the Canon S200 for $200 this week Link.
So buy the camera through the CC website (better do instore...
Another quick note: if you plan on using the $50 off $250 coupon, add a little something extra like some FAR CDR's or something to get over the $350 mark. That way after the PM to $249.98 they can't shaft you on the coupon by saying your order is now under $250.
One more thing, these things...
Just thought I'd add that there is going to be a $70 gift card next week, so at worst they'll take $10 off the PM and make it either $90 or $40 worth of PM instead of $100 or $50 like said above.
I just picked one up at Fry's in Palo Alto, they still had a stack left. Just in case anyone in the Bay Area wants to get one of these. And yeah it has the $80-100 Antec 430w TruPower PS in it.
That sounds way too hot to run at, but the system temps don't coincide with the processor temps. I think the problem must be one of the temperature sensors, and if you've been running 24/7 for a while with no problems I'm guessing it's the cpu temp sensor. My two suggestions are try a...
Can you change the voltage in the bios on the ECS I-buddie 4? As far as I know you can only change FSB etc.
If you can't change voltage in the bios are there any voltage mods that can be done?
If you want a board that will overclock, stay away from Soyo. If you want a feature packed board and don't plan to overclock then Soyo is where it's at. The Soyo board's all have all kinks of BIOS adjustments for overclocking, but they never work like they should. On the other hand they offer a...
