Using a GTS but detects as a Ti

There is something really wrong about my video card. It's using a Geforce 2 GTS bios but windows detects it as a Geforce 2 Ti. I am pretty sure it's a Geforce 2 GTS because I removed the heatsink and checked. The Device ID is 0151 which is Geforce 2 Ti, I flashed the card to try to make it have...

Radeon 32MB DDR supports Smooth Vision?

ATI Radeon 32 DDR I don't think the Radeon can beat the Pro by that much, it should be very close. But I believe I have seen the Pro beat the Radeon 32 DDR many times.

Does an AGP 2.0 board fit in an AGP 1.0 slot?

Try to get a GTS/Pro/Ultra/Ti, they do a lot better than the MX, they got nice DDR ram:D

I believe that the motherboard you have is an ASUS, which means you have a AGP Pro slot. If you get an ASUS Geforce then I think you can take advantage of this feature. Here's an article about the AGP Pro slot, http://www17.tomshardware.com/graphic/00q3/000922/index.html I really have no idea...

How do I find out if Video card is 64 or 128mb?

Just install it and see if the display properties show 128 mb or 64mb

ATI Rage 128 Pro Ultra 16mb

I found some benchmarks comparing the TNT and Rage 128 Tomshardware Tomshardware I suggest that you use the TNT if you play games, if you surf the web or watch DVDs then use the Rage128. If you overclock the TNT, it beats the Rage clearly.

I got no idea what that is, try to find your card at ATI cards link As far as I know, it's not a gaming card, back then those ATI were more for 2D and DVDs. Your old TNT might just do better than the ATI right now.

I'll upgrade until my video card is somewhat outdated and unplayable, that time Geforce 3 and a 8500 will be so cheap probably. Damn I wonder how much the NV30 and R300 will cost when I plan to upgrade...maybe by that time they will be outdated and R400 or NV40 will be out soon...Dunno...

Stepping from SDR to DDR

I understand that there is a big difference right? According to Tomshardware.com, all the SDR cards lack behind I am using a Geforce 2 Mx 32mb SDR :( , if I can get a Geforce 2 Pro 64mb for like 50 bucks, would it be worth the upgrade? Btw..It's a Winfast Geforce 2 Pro 64mb DDR, anything good...

PNY 64MB GeForce2 TI: Is it Worth $40? OK for Games?

That card should be able to handle to well actually, I played with a TNT2 on WC3 and it's not laggy or anything. The recommended requirements from Blizzard are a 32mb card, so you're all set to go!!!

Hmm..you might want to use USB for other things...since u have a PS2 port why not use it? USB comes in handy for scanners, webcams, cameras, printers..etc.. But one thing..I guess you can plug in the USB anytime u want..sometimes the PS2 plug gets loose and u gotta reboot.. But that's not...

Help 80GB HD recognized as 32GB

Can we get your motherboard model? Maybe you have to flash your bios or something? Also when you do fdisk, you can try this fdisk /mbr... it resets the master boot record When you boot up, in the bios does it recognize it as a 80gb?

Has anybody been brave enough to buy a Xabre?

The card doesn't seen too bad overall, maybe the image quality is not as good as other cards but the price would be around the MX440 area. It has outperformed the Geforce 3 in some areas..and just beaten the Geforce 4 MX440 out of there!! Maybe a little driver polishing and some here and there...
