Windows 2000 Install problems

have you tried to install it on another hard drive, if it works on another drive the hdd could be the problem

reintalling windows 2000 OS (clean installation)

are you setting it up within windows as it wont let you delete the boot partition you have to boot off the cd and delete the partitions using windows 200 version of fdisk if this doesnt work use dos fdisk and blow the partitions away

Video card keeps installing

i installed a cirrus logic 5446 pci video card into my ol pentium 100 computer and i have win98 se as my operating system. the thing is when i loaded 98 it detected the video card and i restarted and it kept just wanting to restart as it kept finding the video card. so i started in safe mode...

Application problem

Help i have this application and when i click on it to execute it goes to the taskbar and nothing comes up on the screen. Is there a setting to force it to hide or stay in the task bar? Is there a windows setting , or has someone set the program to hide or something within the application or...

No signal when i turn on my computer

i have an older computer and when i turn it on there is no signal. I have tried a new video card in the agp slot a pci and even an old isa card and it still happens. i have tried different ram in evey slot still same problem i even tried a new power supply as that possibly have been faulty. have...

Computer dials into internet at start up!

have you got any spyware running like bonzai or something that tries to dial up to the internet..have a look in add remove programs,,:o

hey i found that i had to get rid of the tcp/ip and dial up networking through add remove programs and i had to edit the registry, so if anyone else has the same problem this seemed to fix mine:)

its not the internet connection shouldnt make the computer run like is it serioulsy under resourced , its a amd 800mhz which should be ok to run winme but its like somethings happening ,,,i just thought someone here could shed some light,,,,the computer runs well but as soon as it handshakes and...

slow computer

hey there i have a problem with my computer, after i dial up to the internet the whole computer goes realy slow i scanned for viruses did a selective start up cleaned out all temp files it seems like something is piggy backing once i log on.....could there be something i can to do to fix this...
