SupermanCK... increasing the voltage now. :D raddycast, I didn't return it... I'm holding on to it for another build. I'm using the stock HSF with AS3... perhaps that is why this one is doing better than the first ( I used the thermal pad for that one )? :D As for FS's return policy... a few...

A pair of 1.6A's with same batch #... same max O/C? Testing now...

Well, I'm having some problems now. I have increased the vcore to 1.55, but I still get that BSOD ( Link ). Is it my RAM?? The mem ratio is 1:1... so it's not overclocked ( my FSB is currently at 165 ).

Okay... some good news and bad news. Good news: Prime95 ran for 18+ hrs at 160 FSB before I moved up to 165 FSB. Bad news: At 165 FSB, I get "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" in WinXP... at different times ( after running Sandra or Prime95 for a minute or so... or right before logging into XP )...

I ran Prime95 for a good 12 hours before moving from 155 FSB to 160 FSB. Now, at 160 FSB, it's been running for 6+ hrs. I think I'll let it run throughout the night. The v-core is still at 1.500v in bios ( 1.568 in windows ). :) Mikki, I tried the 3:4 hack, but my stick of PC2700 ( Crucial )...

Well, it looks like this chip is better than my old one. Prime95 had been running for 8+ hrs, and did not fail. I'm currently at 155 FSB... on default voltage. :D

The 1.6A I bought last week did 145 FSB ( 2320MHz ) with default voltage. At 150 FSB, Prime95 would crash after 1 hour. Yesterday, I got my hands on another 1.6A that has the same batch, version, and pack date ( 3209A890, A82110-003, 05/17/02 respectively ) as the previous one. Will it hit the...

v mod 3/4 for p4b533

Just tried it on my P4B533... works nicely. :D I'm wondering if it has any affect on other components... like, if I select the AGP/PCI to 66.66/33.33... is it really that speed, or is it running at something else?

Help me decide: I have two 1.6A's at my house, unopened...

The retail stores started to carry mobos last week ( FS.ca had them since june ). They only carry the Asus P4B533 and some MSI board.

The board is an Asus P4B533 ( also from FS... pricematched to get a sweet price ), and I use a 256MB stick of Crucial PC2700. Just curious... what store did you the 1.6a from? I got mine at the Kennedy store in Toronto. I just want to know if most stores have the same batch. :)

DANGER!!! P4 Overclockers, YOU MUST READ THIS!!!!

Hmmm... I have my voltage set to 1.65v in bios now... it's reading as 1.72 in Asus probe. I guess i'm pushing it now? Aw, man... :(

Raddygast... I got my 1.6a at Future Shop ( EXACT same batch as yours... and it is costa rica ). It does 2.32 at default voltage, and 2.4 at 1.55v.

Northwood Power Supply Recommendations

I'm not certain if a larger PSU will give you a better or more stable overclock. I ran my 1.6a @ 2.32 ( default voltage ) on an Antec 300W PSU ( PP-303XP ). The same system is now running on an Enermax 430W ( model 465 ) PSU, and there was no change in the overclock or stability at default...

P4B533 Question + intel app accel question.

I have the same mobo... had the same problem. You need to d/l the usb 2.0 drivers. You can get them from intel's website ( also at microsoft's webiste.. i think ).

1) 1.6A - 5/17/02 2) 2320 - 145 fsb 3) Asus P4B533 4) 1.56v 5) Asus PCprobe v2.17 At 150 fsb on default voltage, prime gives me an error after 1 hr. Almost made me cry... :( ( I so badly wanted to hit 2.4 :D ).

I just built a rig with the same components.... 1.6a on a P4B533 ( i845e, no raid ). I haven't overclocked yet... but I noticed Sandra is slowing the FSB to be 101.... is that correct? Bios ( 1006 ) shows 100 fsb, as does PCProbe. Also, is 1006 the latest non beta bios?
