NEW UPDATE: I am virtually positive that it is indeed the cable: When I just turn the monitor on and I get the message "No Connection! Check Signal Cable" there is no ghosting!

I tried what you suggest and there is a definite improvement. However, the display doesn't look as good at it could with a higher color temp and more brightness/contrast. Anyway, thanks for the tip. I guess what I really need is a decent cable. Any recommended retailers? --James

It is a PCI tnt2 m64 32 Mb. The card works fine with my other monitor, the Syncmaster 955DF. But that monitor doesn't use the VGA replacement cable...

Poll: Old video cards anyone?

I am using a PCI TNT2 m64 on my T-bird 900, and I have been pleased with it, but it never seems to quite get the job done. And I always feel like a PC like mine should have a more guts videocard.

Thanks for the tips. The scalable drivers should be a help in getting win98 to recognize both cards. But it might be worth it to save the PCI slot for something else, avoid the IRQ problems, and just get the Twinview... I'm not sure what I'll do, but I feel better about my options knowing...

WinDVD troubles

If you are really desparate, you could uninstall winDVD and then go through the registry and delete every reference to DVD anything. Then reinstall WinDVD. Failing that, you could get really really desparate and reformat/reinstall '98. I'm not sure if that helps much. --James

ATI TV tuner

Is this your only way to watch TV? If not, plug that cable into another TV and see if you get your channels. It sounds to me though, like that is your problem. Or, in the ATI software you may not have the correct input source selected. Hope that helps. --James

HDD Problem!!! Help Please!!!

It looks like all they want/need in terms of numbers is the model numbers. I suppose you could give them serials too if you liked. No harm in that. Now, why would you have two hard drives showing up with bad sectors? It is not uncommon to have hard drive errors when running overclocked chips...
