P41.6a@2.4 on 3:4 mem Ratio or higher clock speed on 1:1 mem ratio?

You will be better off with that setup running the 3:4 divider to run your RAM @ 199.5 Mhz vs. running it at 1:1 to equal 150Mhz. You shouldn't have any trouble running that Corsair3200 at 200Mhz though. Try relaxing your memory timings to say 2.5/3/3/7 and see what that does for you.

Yes your book will have that. If you have questions about the BIOS settings just ask. Definitely read the manual though, it's not complicated. It'll show you exactly which jumper and instruct you on what to do.

Abit BH7 and P4 2.4b troubles?

You will most likely have to reset your CMOS to get back into your BIOS but once there, see if you have "Shutdown on CPU Fan Fail" Enabled. If so, disable that, save and exit. Just a thought.

Your "slooow shutdown" is probably due to the Windows Q329170 Hotfix update which can be removed via ADD/REMOVE programs.

IMHO you'll really want that 5:4 multiplier if your gonna be overclocking like you said. I purchased one with a 1.6a which should be in today! Here is one of the few reviews I've found on the board which should help your decision a little. I have seen some good results from this board in other...

A couple of good benchmarking utilities are SiSoft Sandra for complete system testing and 3D Mark2001SE for your video card. These should give you a pretty good idea on how your system is doing. Enjoy!

Which is better for the Intel P4 w/ 533fsb: DDR or RAMBUS?

Either one will give you excellent performance. If your not into overclocking and having the latest and greatest then I must agree with a previous poster that the Ram is really of little concern campared to some of the other components. Just make sure you buy quality Ram and you'll be fine...

Final Decision: please help! Radeon 8500LE or Geforce 4 TI4200 (Gainward) XP or P4?

Ti4200 for sure. If you didn't know, you'll probably be able to get that 1.6a to 2.4gigs easy with that set up, maybe more. Far more than you would get out of the XP. Kinda like a buy one get one free.....but different. :D Enjoy!

Any people with 2GHz phones?

I did some research before buying a new cordless about 4 months back and every review I found (including Consumer Reports)said that there wasn't any noticeable difference between the 800Mhz phones and the 2 Ghz sound wise. I ended up getting a 2 Ghz phone because the price + rebate made it...

Which PSU?

If you insist on getting a new power supply, the True Power series made by Antec are extremely quiet and very reliable. They make several, a 330w, 430W, and a 550W I believe. The 330W will be plenty unless your heavy into modding with lights and stuff then go with the 430W. I still can't figure...

What is the best P4 board to get right now?

If you can wait then wait for the Asus P4T533 (RDRAM) to come in about another week. If not, the Abit IT7(DDR)is proving to consistantly hit 2.7 with Costa Rica 1.6a's with pack dates later than 4/30/02 and some good Corsair XMS3000. Abit's IT7 and the BG7 are both excellent choices for DDR...

Best budget 19" monitor.

Another vote for the Samsung 955DF. 1280 x 1024 @ 75Hz and Flat! Excellent monitor for the money.
