Speaking of which, I'm getting a g420 next week, but I can't find ANY info on the built in speaker. Is it good? where is it located on the monitor? Can i just plug it in with my speakers?

Uhm, I hate to break it to you-- but unless you plan to switch to a different type of OS in the near future, Microsoft WILL ensure that you install .net. .net it's Microsoft new baby, they're going to make sure anyone with a windows box has it installed. The parhelia is just the beginning.

Well said my man. This is what people don't understand. Of course red hat and mandrake want as much market share as possible, but the average unix user just wants a nice, fast, clean environment to experiment with programming and networks. EDIT: Grrr how do you quote?

Dammit... another tough decision. Thanks for the help guys. This is the PC i'll be taking to university in the spring, I won't have money to upgrade at a later time. I certainly don't NEED the PC soon, but I dont want to wait that long.. :( Oh well you guys can't help me with that :)
