Has anyone heard any whisperings about any 975X based Micro ATX motherboards coming from any vendors? I have no desire to go full ATX but want to switch to Conroe.
Also, what's next after 975X? What will be the first chipset built from the ground up for Conroe? Thanks.
I guess that's one for the AMD folks to answer but either way it's much better than the Intel one! If it's not it should be...lol. If it is, hats off to the AMD marketing folks.
Intel definitely has more marketing clout than AMD and of course they have a longer history. AMD can make up for this by using 'smart marketing'....which Intel seems to be lacking.
As far as this tag line one upper goes, I'd say it's definitely a hands down winner. They need more marketing...
Intel's new logo is finally starting to grow on me as the old one quite dated (super retro!) in this day and age. That said I have to say that AMD has owned them on the tag line front.

I recently bought an MSI Ti4800SE 8xAGP 128MB with the new system I was putting together. I had been a long time sufferer of ATI's driver insanity w/ my ATI AIW Radeon and previous ATI cards.

I'm back, after much hooing and hawing, traded in my Samsung PC2700 CL2.5 and got PC3200 CL3.0 and I don't seem to have that windows wierdness any longer....so far. I also exchanged my Gainward TI4200 64 AGP 4x and got meself an MSI TI4800SE 128MB AGP 8x. So far so good except UT2k3 crashed on...
Well, I ran MemTest-86 v3.0 overnight and it hung the 1st time. Then this morning I notice it has hung again during test #11. It did not report any error but hung. Also at default settings MemTest shows the memory speed at 978MB/s. Is this right? When I up it to 4-2-2-2T is shows 1043MB/s...
A quick follow up...the memory part "Samsung PC2700 256MB DDR (K4H560838D-TCB3)" is on the qualified list for the A7N8X at http://usa.asus.com/mb/socketa/a7n8x/A7N8Xqvl.htm ....not that that is the end all be all verdict.
