Thanks for the suggestion, but that's not it. Already disabled. The server is a standalone server, not a DC and not running AD.

It does not support 16-bit applications. Current installers are 32-bit, but there are older apps which have 16-bit installers which won't install, or you'll have to manually set them up.

Actually, I mispoke. Although my group (which owns Common Client) provided the fix for the directx issue, it will be appearing in the NIS update, not the common client update.

Sorry, I wasn't clear above. Is it the "Norton Personal Firewall" or "Norton Internet Security" variant? Question: Do you have ad blocking turned on, and have you added custom ads to it? Check the content blocking log and see if you get a series of blocked content when you view the forums...
