Question - anyone know how/if its possible to use these boxes as a widi/miracast receiver/sink? I know the chipsets have the capability to **send** over widi/miracast according to intel's site.
These NUCs are so small, I don't see a reason to invest another $25-$100 for a widi/miracast receiver...

I think I'll pass on these. They do sound like a great value, but for me they are not necessary...I got my Senn PX200's which do the job quite nicely. Only problem is that I taped on some better pleather pads for isolation, but it makes them less portable...

Contrast Ratios don't mean much; manufacturers don't observe the same testing standards and also inflate these numbers. It may be the case that these two LCDs share the same panel. Some research on google could confirm or deny that.
Can't decide between this and the Sapphire Theatrix 550.
Both are the same price at newegg; Hauppauge is the tried and true option, but the Sapphire has better picture quality and MCE compatible remote.

If you want to get fancy, you can turn one of your computers into an HTPC box (use a free program like Media Portal or buy Win XP MCE) and then you can do all sorts of things. Use youur computer like a TiVo...
Ditto with Opera. Of course if something doesn't work on the first try in Opera, change the browser identification setting to IE or Mozilla or Opera until hopefully one of them works.

I believe it does support SATA II, but unless you upgrade your HDD, the standard Maxtor 160GB that comes with the 9100 is SATA I w/o NCQ (according to the Intel Storage Matrix program I installed).
BTW, when I used Intel Chipset ID utility it showed that I had a 945G chipset with a SATA...

Just FYI, make sure there is some way to discharge static electricity on your HDDs. If you wrapped them in this material and there is no longer metal to metal contact, static electricity could build up over time and harm your HDD. I was just reading about this online.
