The funny thing is, the AMD website says that the K8X800 supports it, but it lists an unseen/unreleased ver1.07A bios revision. bah!

No it doesn't, that's why I ask. The review for this Mobo on X-Bit Labs claims that it supports C 'n' Q even though it isn't documented but maybe they're smoking crack. Maybe I'll send an email to their reviewer.

Hey all, Has anyone gotten C'n'Q working on the Albatron K8X800 Pro II? I've tried every bios that I can find (up to a 1.07 that I found on some odd website) and can't find one that supports C'n'Q. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Karim

Dot Pitch, horizontal and diagonal?

I'm looking in to buying a 21" CRT. Viewsonic quotes it's monitor specs with a Horizontal Dot Pitch and a Diagonal Dot Pitch. I've never heard of Diagonal Dot Pitch. Can anyone explain to me what the deal is between these two specs? Here's a link: Viewsonic Monitor Specs Thanks in advance :)

I'm not going to be buying one, of course the price is absolutely insane at the moment. However, in 5-7 years it just might make headway, I see no reason to dismiss the technology out of hand just because it's expensive at the moment.

Well, while I can justify an extra $200 for a top shelf CPU, I dunno if I can justify an extra $5-600 to get a duallie and all that comes with it. Besides, this is gonna be primarily a game rig and games don't lend themselves to SMP.

Laptop battery life question. Mobile Athlon vs Mobile P4

My wifes Emachines laptop that uses a Barton 2400+ gets over 3.5 hours on it's battery which is much better than the P4 DTR laptops which usually clock in at 1.5-2.5 hours as I've seen. It's got a 15.4" widescreen display too.

2nd Generation 37GB Raptors DO NOT EXIST...

First gen 36.7 GB Raptors just dissapeared from Newegg, not even searchable. Maybe we'll start seeing some second gen Raptors in 36.7 GB in the next few weeks?
