I almost completely switched my company to them as our main supplier. They have the ability to discount from retail, are very helpful, never hassled me about a return (and there were a lot of them.) The open box used to be AWESOME! and not so much any more, but the selection is between Best...
Did not see this elsewhere - so...

07-25-2004 @ 04:53 PM - In California, Verizon plans to pass about 100,000 homes and businesses with FTTP technology in the Huntington Beach area and in other parts of Southern California.

I have the HP Pavilion ZD7010US (2.66Ghz and 440Go 64mb Video) and would like to upgrade it to something else in the 7000 line - my questions are 2 fold:
1. Will the 5600 Go w/128mb ram play Doom3?
2. Is the CPU truly a desktop CPU?
Thanks
We have about 100 nationwide - I have to say that all in all I like them:
The only complaints I have are echos of the other replies:
1. Crappy Keyboard - the Dell C800 is the only keyboard of Dell's that I like
2. No USB 2.0 - cards are cheap, but still
3. If the Mini-PCI slot is open...
As a former Compaq service rep - I also am not a big fan. It seems that when Compaq negotiated their deal with Tandy Corp (Radio Shack) their QC went downhill - we nicknamed them "ComeBacks" because they were always coming back into the store, however on the same token my HP zd7010 is an...
I have an HP Pavilion zd7010 almost 10 pounds (17" Screen). I keep it in a tragrus backpack that is large eough to hold it and padded enough not to kill me. With a good case it is not too bad.
There are in fact 2 solutions:
1. Take ownership and move the file to a FAT32 Partition. EFS is a feature of NTFS and moving the file to a FAT partition will remove the EFS
2. Move it to a compressed volume, MS descided that the 2 (EFS and Compression) are mutually exclusive, so moving the...
I have a Linux server that runs just fine "headless", no x server, but that is not the point. Server 2000 and 2003 WILL run headless if you can get the Windows Server Embedded Toolkit - but you still need a video card to install, then you can remove it and connect to the server through Terminal...
The XDA and the Palm Tungsten W both have excellent battrey life.
The Samsung i600 and i500 both have great battery life.
The kyocera 7135 is in a battery recal - not so great.
Also keep in mind that this is NOT A POCKET PC PHONE. This is a pocket pc with a GPRS/GSM card permanently installed and custom software to run the phone app. The battery life is horrible and the phone is porly rated. Check out www.pdaphonehome.com for more information.
