Need help with NSW antivirus settings

I have always done a complete system scan and of course thats the best way to go. But sometimes you just want a quicker scan and norton will allow this. You can go into settings and have it scan only for certain files. Problem for me is that I dont know which to include and which to exclude for...

one good answer, thanks very much. I didnt think of that as i tend to stay away from ebay and stick with fora, almost exclusively people i know on the fora, like that isekii guy, oh, thats you, lol. Least i know i wont get ripped off when i stick with people i know!!

I have this Sony Walkman player\recorder, its the MZ-N10 NET MD model. Problem is, that is all I have, i dont have the usb cradle or anything else for it. So, I wonder if there is somewhere i can get enough parts for it so it can be usable, like the usb cradle, etc. I went to the sony website...

Problems with my 250 GB External Hard Drive

I am familiar with usb and firewire external drives but not with your Iomega. Do you know what chipset it uses? Are there drivers to install or does win xp just install it autmatically? YOu should point out what os you are running whenever you post here, always helps to know that bit of info...

screen keeps moving

Heres another one. If your monitor has the a standard vga cable, and its the type that can be removed, then get yourself a svga cable. The svga has a "bump" on one or both ends, right before the actual connector. So if your cable doesnt then get one that does and that may fix your problem. both...

I believe you have to disable system restore and then you are ok to delete the infected file(s) If system restore has marked the file(s) as part of the system files then system restore wont let you delete it so you have to disable system restore first. Same with goback if you are running...

Help! For all the experts...My DVD cannot read regular CD roms or Music CDs but can read DVDs

Thats what i was thinking, if the cd laser is dead but the dvd laser is good then you will see this happen, it will only read dvd cds. The ide removal idea is a good one though as xp will pick it up again with no prob and re-install it. Do you have via chipset at all?

between what you have posted and our pms i would say your drive is faulty, which would be the first i ever heard of, but prolly not that uncommon, they are still fairly new, these usb thumbdrives, only a few yrs old.

ashum, you simply got a bad power supply is all, but i looked at the weight you mentioned for the power supply you had, no wonder. Its the cheapest of the cheap. This person here has a much better ps to start with, so you are comparing apples and oranges here! He is way fine with the ps he has.

Have you tried reformatting the drive first? Could be you have a file system error on the drive and a formatting of the drive would fix that. The only other thing i can think of is either a virus or some type of adware or other type of malware that could possibly cause this. YOu can download...
