so that software will do exactly the same thing as DolbyDigitalLive? I'd rather just use that than have paid for a card. damn

haha, i guess i should have specified that I'm not willing to spend any significant amount of money... $20-30 for some adaptor OK, but its not worth a $190 sound card

I've got my new receiver and speaker system (Panasonic SC-HT40) hooked into my motherboards integrated sound (DS3, so its an ALC883) and I want to get 5.1 sound in games, especially Battlefield 2142. So far the best I can do is use Prologic 2 to fake 5.1 from just stereo input...
its because the sensor is the same size..and canon just overloaded the S50. I believe the increased density is what causes the problem.
if you cannot find a S45 for sale i suggest you use pricegrabber or something, because there are tons of places.

the wall mounts are already on them :) see how the metal stand screws in in the back? it sorta sits in a grove. undo the screw, spin the stand so 180º so that it is now the opposite direction in the slot. Now the stand is vertical and wall mountable.
and for the people wondering...they tested dual g5s against the single p4 and fx because they wanted to test the 'fastest desktop computer' from each one. Apple markets thier dual G5s as desktop machines, so thats how it happened
2GB of RAM? its a bit apples and oranges too. you gave the fx platnum and low latency...but the ee just C2. i suppose going retail fx is fair enough.

the remainder of the parts are constant for either system.
i see ~$300 difference
