Fear not, I'm still watching my original thread. If you'd like me to move the Athlon stuff into the main post, PM me and then bump my original thread (to make sure I see your PM!)
Thanks.
I disagree. The only people using DirectAdmin and cPanel are those who are still being diaper trained in webhosting. If you're using DreamHost, you already know what you're doing.
I'm pretty sure that's a typo -- if it works with CDROMS, it'll work with desktop drives. You can also count the pins -- 40 pins = desktop, 44 pins = notebook. This one has 40 pings so it's definitely standard IDE. Gonna pick up a few.
Offtopic..
As far as US patents go, I found these two.
US6537335 Color changing candle 2003-03-25 - registered to a German company.
US6165234 Thermally color-changing candles 2000-12-26 - registered to a man in Ohio.
That's fine, as long as you don't mind being without your cablemodem for 2 weeks while Motorolla mails you an RMA. (As compared to Comcast which can come out next day to replace your rented modem, or you can go there same day to get a replacement modem.) Renting looks like a better deal to me.
Foxconn has been making stuff for years. They were primarily an OEM before, but they've recently started selling direct to customers. Their stuff was whitelabeled as another company's product, so you never knew it was theirs.
I am skeptical that the 1.7GHZ CPUs will work. http://www.tyan.com/support/html/cpu_xeon_p4.html says that this board only officially supports 1.8-3GHz Xeons. I run this board with 2.4GHZ xeons just fine, though.
$20 + Use Fees != Free
I would argue that this may be MORE expensive than PayPal in small quantities and way too cumbersome in large quantities.
PayPal personal account can RECEIVE an unlimited amount of money, AS LONG AS they're not from an auction site and you don't use a "Buy Now"...
Not to thread crap, but this is nothing special.
It's $24.99 at Fry's this weekend with a $5 mail in rebate for a total of $19.95. If you live in California, you're going to get charged by both buy.com and Fry's, so you might as well go the Instant Gratification route, with the bonus...
