    As far I remember none of the Windows ocing tools was able to change the FSB divider. This automatically means that you won't be able to make bigger OC's from within Windows. However, since most mobos now have the possibility to lock the AGP & PCI, only the RAM settings would be your limit...

    Well, the dream is over. Highest what I got stable with 1.525V actual (1.575V in BIOS) is 3.7GHz at a 264FSB. Just for testing purposes I haven't tried the max of the RAM, so I did it with a 5:4 FSB:RAM setting. However I have updated the results on MadTom's 2.8 SL6WT overclocking page...

    Well, every chip has their own limits. Some small guide/overview for the 3.2GHz processor can be found here. I guess you should be able to get more than 3.7GHz out of the chip. However, your MSI board is not so bad at all; what is your max. on this board?

    Yeah, seeing results from other people I was really amazed to see that mine worked so well with default voltage. BTW, the voltage was fluctuating from 1.424 to 1.475 (let's say that's an 0.05 undervolt). Since I'm at work at the moment, I will try to squeeze the processor out in the afternoon...

    Well, sound quality is not on Soundstorm levels. But rather good, since I'm now using this Realtek ALC650 for 1,5 years (but makes heavier load on the CPU). But you could compare that Soundstorm is somewhere on same level as Audigy 2.

    Memory upgrade advice - moving to 2.4c

    If your XMS2700 works fine at DDR400, then you can run it 1:1. However, if you gonna OC the 2.4C or 2.6C (whatever C you will get) probably you wil have to go to 5:4 which for instance would mean 250FSB (1000 Quadpumped) and DDR400 speed on the RAM. The math is simple 250FSB:200RAM=5:4

    I just bought this PSU. Hope, this will make my OCing much more easier. Will try to squeeze the 1.6A first. My idea is if BIOS voltage won't suffice to go to the 1.7V pin mod, and do max 1,75V afterwards. Should this be OK. It's a Northwood from 2002.
