Awesome deal @ Blockbuster if you thinking about picking up a Ps2/Xbox/GC and want to try all the games.

I highly doubt they will charge you for the use of it if you return your system, but I do suspect that they may cancel out the freedom pass from the day the system is returned. I'm not sure how it will be handled but if I can I will find out soon.

My first investigation would be, is the drive actually a DVD drive or a CD-rom drive. After that if it is truly a dvd drive, I would put a dvd in and use the explorer navigate to the drive and see if you can dee the normal file structure of the dvd, if it doesn't read that and it is really a dvd...

No ground plug. How dangerious is it to the UPS?

Try looking for a 3 prong adapter that has a little metal clip that you can attach to the screw on the outlet, that should be acceptable as a ground for OLDER outlets that do not have the 3 pronged plug. -phoenix-

Old cable-modem won't work with Roadrunner??

RoadRunner does not use proprietary modems, they use DOCSIS certified modems. This meas as long as the modem you own is DOCSIS certified you can use it with their service. If it is not certified it likely won't work. I use this modem Toshiba PCX1100

Weird RAM problem on my friend's HP motherboard

Simple reason the board is reading the RAM's SPD which for PC133 tells the board it is 133mhz capable and the 100mhz is saying its 100mhz. The only way to override that is if there is that option in the bios but if its a prebuilt by HP I doubt they'd leave that in there. -phoenix-

Burner Question (Plextor 12/10/32A)

I should ask you a few questions first but I'm going to for go that tonight. You shouldn't do mp3 to audio cd as that is what is likely causing your buffer problems. Decode all your mp3's for that cd to wav file the burn the audio CD and you shouldn't have any buffer underruns. :) -phoenix-

Need help upgrading RAM in an old Compaq
