HOT compaq laptop deal at frys? $1199 AR

Questions about Compaq warranties: I was thinking about buying a compaq off of ebay. Is there any way around not being able to transfer a compaq warranty? If the item is new and has not been registered, is there anything special I need to know to register the laptop on compaq's site...

Cheapest way to get MIDI on Laptop???

Thanks for the help. I did a little more searching, and if anyone else is looking for the same thing, www.midiman.com has a usb one for 69.99 cheaper on ebay, but I might spend the extra money and get the creative labs extigy usb sound card off ebay for around $100.00. Thanks, Brandon

HOT compaq laptop deal at frys? $1199 AR

I can't figure out if these have USB 2.0 or not. If you look on that 1500 series specs link, it says 2.0, but if you look at the specifications on any of the US (retail) models, they all say usb 1.1. Does anyone know if the retail versions have usb 2.0 for sure? Thanks, Brandon 1500us specs

Cheapest way to get MIDI on Laptop???

Hi, Hope someone can help me out. I've searched on buy.com, pricewatch, etc..., but I can't figure out if there is a usb, or pcmcia card that has a midi/joystick port. I want to hookup my keyboard to my laptop so I can use this Teach Me Piano s/w I bought. The cheaper the better. Thanks...
