computer randomly rebooting...

I have had the same problem. A different system but random boots and memory errors I got some good advice from here and it turned out to be bad memory. I used the Memtest-86 test to prove it. RMAed my memory will get new ones on Monday. Download Memtest-86

WD 80gig/8megC with 8IHXP

Both CDs error 31

Regalk.... Its up to you if don't want to purchase a Gigabyte mb, but it was the dual bios that saved me. Very easy. I have a MSI and Gigabyte mb both are excellent . The main problem I come across that causes crashes more than hardware is software . Good luck with whatever MB you chose there...

Burnin and benchmark software

What is the most commonly used Burnin for a stable system and benchmark software? I see PCWorld has a benchmark but its not avaiable to use . Also I just tried Norton Sysworks but I don't see anyone on this fourm use this.

WD ATA 100 80g Benchmarks

best way to partition a 80g HD

Has anyone found a good way to partition a 80 gig HD to help reduce the waste. At the moment I kept on NTFS partition under Win 2k. I think i am wasting alot of space by not reducing the partition but not sure yet. Any ideas to try?

Samsung RDRAM & 8IXHP

Has anyone been able to use Samsung PC1066 Rambus ram in the Gigabyte 850e 8IXHP motherboard? I thought at one time I read only Kingston 1066 work. Well now I can't find Kinston rambus memory and the Samsing it much cheaper. Or is the 845g chipset that uses the DDR memory just as good?
