DEAD: SATA sold out: Maxtor 320GB PATA drive - $49.99 + shipping - FRYS

I ordered 4 of these on Nov 22 and got an email saying I will receive an order number and order tracking information in a couple hours, but never heard back from them since. Called in today and they said my order did not process and they're out of stock and there's nothing they can do?

Recommendations for new sound card and speakers

How do the X-530s compare to the 5300s? The 5300s are $100 CDN more expensive, is it worth it? I'm thinking of getting a sound of the envy chipset or HDA X-Mystique..I read elsewhere they are better for listening to music and home theater setups?

nevermind that, I emailed their support although you can still answer if you know =) I wonder how will the SAA7135 chip compare to the theater 550 though? Since I'm in Canada, I can only find cards with the theater 550. However, I have a friend going to Taiwan for Christmas, I can get...

sorry about the silicon tuner thing, I didn't know anything about TV tuners when I posted that. So it just means you can use it anywhere in the world right? I looked at Lifeview's site, but couldn't find out what chip the FlyDVB-T Duo uses? Do you know if it uses the SAA7135 chip?

I'm looking into buying a TV tuner. I have no idea on these except I read the review recently posted here. I will be using it to watch and record TV and my source is cable analog. Also, I might use it connect game consoles to it. . From the review, it seems like the one with Theater 550...

Abit IT7-Max2 (rev 2.0) - Memory deficiency?

dimm 2 and 3 share banks...he needs to get single sided ram for dimm 2 and 3 if he wants to use 3 dimms.

on the site, the intel stock hsf is listed as 42.5 dba, then I guess 41.7 is not so bad...

yup, I tried dimm 1 and dimm3, same results. I even tried my stick 2 in dimm1 and stick 1 in dimm3. I got a 1.6a and 2 sticks geil pc2700. I tested the cpu up to 155 fsb, haven't tried higher coz using stock hsf. And with 1 stick of ram, it can run 400 ddr 2-2-2-5 at 2.6v, better than the...

hmm...is it my board then? It's IT7 Max2v2...I can run up to 325 ddr 2-2-2-5, changing timings to 2.5-3-3-7 doesn't help. And it's with 4:5 ratio, I can't even get past 300 ddr with 1:1 or 3:4....

just got the time to do more testing...........I can't run anything over 130fsb with 4:5 either.....seems like the board just won't go over 130fsb with my 2 sticks installed.

125 fsb = 314 ddr passed as well.... hmm...there is some problem with the 1:1 and 3:4 on PE chipset boards? coz I had tried it on the 8PE667 Ultra and had the same results before I tried this 4:5.

wow thanks for the advise, the 4:5 works! ran 120 fsb = 300 ddr and prime 10hr+ stable. Testing 125 fsb now...

Tried 2.8v, still can't do it. Also tried lower fsb with 3:4 ratio, same results. I guess I have to run only 1 stick if I want higher oc. I checked Evan's review again. He had 3 sticks at 333ddr....hmm....

individually, the sticks will do 400+ ddr 2-2-2-5. The test I ran 150 fsb 1:1 at was with both sticks and at 2.5-3-3-7 already. I also turned cache on for all tests. hmm...so it might be my board? it's IT7 m2v2. I'll try test 2.8v tonight.

My 1.6a can run at least 155 fsb prime95 stable with 1 stick of ddr. But it can't even do 135 fsb with 2 sticks. I ran memtest with both sticks at 150 fsb 1:1 at 2.7v with all 11 tests and 10+ loops without an error. But prime95 failed in about 2-3 hrs. I tried raising vcore, still the same. I...
