I read a bunch of the review recently and it sounded like the game was plagued by really poor AI and some pretty serious bugs. My thought at the time was that this would be a great bunch of games if the issues were patched but I don't know if it ever was or not. Anyone able to chime in?
I am quite sure that there is someway to make my network function the way that I would like it but after investing much more time than I ever should trying to solve the problem reading countless tutorials, guides and expert advice I have chosen to explore another route. Perhaps you think this...
Jack,
I think I saw a similar reply that you provided in a different thread and I agree it would be best to learn networking. I am not exactly computer illiterate or 'network ignorant' by any means but I was simply never able to get two-way communication between my laptop and desktop to work...
After reading through the forums I know that Network Magic is not too highly thought of but I thought I would give it a purchase as the trial version solved some networking problems I had that I could never quite manage to fix on my own.
I do have a few questions though for anyone who has...
I have been having similar USB problems of late - but they seem intermittent. My USB hub went out and the USB ports will not recognize anything other than my mouse. The symptoms look pretty similar to yours though.

Hey all,
Overview of the problem
I have a Dlink DUB-H7 USB hub that has performed flawlessly until just recently when it suddenly quick working. Turns out, my desktop (Windows XP SP2) is no longer recognizing the hub and I get the "device not recognized" error.
Full description of the...
I am currently trying this with no luck. The drive shows up on my network but is inaccessible. All other drives on the network are fine but not the USB drive. Any ideas on why that might be the case?
I know that they will have to set it up, but I was hoping for a suggestion on which routers might be more user friendly. I tend to go for features and speed, but in this case my needs are quite a bit different and I figured that this could not be a unique problem. If all else fails, I can try...
I was recently asked to help some technically impaired relatives who live in another state for recommendations on purchasing a wireless router. Since I would rather not spend endless hours troubleshooting their purchase, could anyone recommend an idiot-proof wireless router?
There is an even better price at Costco for $122 +$6 shipping.

Not sure what happened the first time I uninstalled/reinstalled but this second time it all came out ok. Weird.
I have an issue with the new Firefox 2.0. I updated from the latest version of 1.5.8(?), and have had a number of serious issues including:

I am in the process of migrating my home machine which functions as a

Ok... I feel really stupid asking this, but here goes.
I have a WRT54G router and I am simply trying to see all the wireless devices hooked up to my network but I can't seem to find the option for how to do this.
Can anyone help me here?
Hmmm.... Judging by the number of people who have had a problem with this it seems that you might be right.
Has anyone had any success in getting a PVR setup to work with a newish Nvidia card?

Never got it to even post. It probably has something to do with the unstable bios and limitations on the RAM that everyone on the Asus support board seems to be complaining about. I just don't have time to play around with a board whose bios do not seem ready for release.
Everyone is hoping...
I need a quick bit of help. I am looking to put together a budget AM2 build and need a new motherboard tomorrow for reasons I will not bore you with - though suffice it to say I am not a big Asus M2N-E fan at the moment.
Luckily, I have a Fry's nearby and was wondering if anyone could suggest...
Let me 2nd the warnings about M2N-E... very picky about RAM and I have yet to get mine to even post with 2.0v RAM. If these are buggy boards I have heard of very few people who have good ones. Maybe my opinion of Asus was a bit too high before buying this, but it isn't now!!! ;)
I think I have decided on the CD2 but I am holding off until I see if I can actually get my hands on one in the next couple of weeks.
As for the video card, a 7900 would be great, but since I am upgrading from a 9700 I think the 7600GT might just be good enough for now.
The AM2 I threw on...
Availability of E6300?
I am looking at putting together a budget build in the near future and had heard conflicting information about when the E6300 was going to be shipping?
On the one hand there are sites reporting the E6300 in Q4
http://techreport.com/onearticle.x/10413
and then...
Wow... I somehow missed that in my quick research. (This is a bit of an emergency build.) Thanks though. It looks like I may have to go with the AMD then.
EDIT - Wait... are you sure this is not for the 4X00 series? I swear that I have read the E6300 would launch the 27th.
And... here is...
I am looking for some help with my first foray into building a quiet computer on a budget. I have a little bit of experience (3 builds total) but I am finding the learning curve a bit steep this time around so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to do my homework on this but I...
I figure that there just HAS to be a dsl deal there without the contract... people just sometimes move in less than a year. Any Germans reading this that could help out?
Fine print is probably a world-wide issue.... "Mindestvertragslaufzeit 12 Monate" etc...
translates roughly as Minimum contract 12 months; automatic extension by the further 12 months, if no notice within the prescribed period is received at least 3 months before expiration of the contract...
Thanks for the help again everyone... I tried Arcor and Lycos but I can't seem to find out if they have a package that is less than a 12 month contract. As far as I can tell they don't. Does anyone know of a month to month contract for DSL in Germany?
Yeah, my German isn't so hot right now either. Also, I suspect that any old DSL modem off the shelf might not work either. Maybe a native German will help out here.... :)
