I currently use a SMP Tualatin rig and only went with it because single CPU rigs i have previously owned bogged down real quick when heavily multitasking.
I was thinking that the trade in overall performance with HT would be greatly outweighed by the ability to cope with multitasking on a par...
Thanks for the input guys :)
Guess i wont have to keep feverishly refreshing those threads for a scoop to play with after all :(
The thought of ripping out my P4 and clipping its wings with a pair of pliers made me think i must just be bored with nothing better to do i guess.
Time to pop my nose...

Thanks for biting ;) :D
The fact that Intel laid out the specs for AGP 3.0 (make of this what you will ;) ) is not FUD. Neither is that certain MOTHERBOARDS WITH NON INTEL CHIPSETS have issues till either they are replaced via RMA or are fixed with a bios update to work round the problem.

Theres been a lot of FUD going about with regard to this, and from what i can gather it is in fact the motherboards at fault as if you try the new SIS 8x AGP video card it too wont work properly if at all in motherboards with this problem.
Maybe ATI have done some alterations to their card to...

Unusually it comes with only HD15 connection yet with my Geforce2MX looks superb.

I think i had this problem a while ago and concluded it was either XP/2K's installer that was preventing FAT32 partitions over 32GB.
It should be possible to just create your partition as FAT32 over 32GB with a 98SE boot disks FDISK or Partitionmagic, Linux Disk Druid etc and then choose this...

Anyway, i bought a book upon recommendations of a forum like this one - "Running Linux" by Matt Welsh, Matthias Kalle Dalheimer and Lar Kaufman.
After reading this book...

Interesting thread :)
