After all of this time, and all of the failed above fixes, I MAY have stumbled onto something. My local news station?s homepage starts with a video link that requires Adobe Flash. I always update whenever prompted. I?ve been too busy struggling with this discover.com problem to pay attention...

Thanks, bruceb, but I did all of that on the phone the first day with Discover tech support. Added them to the trusted list, cleaned out everything; rasied, and then lowered security settings. Ran a full scan with OneCare. Nothing worked from IE; just Firefox. I pay Chase, Verizon, AT&T...

Nope. Doesn't work. The EXACT same thing happens. I get a glimpse of the page, and then it goes to the "...null page". AND/BUT...if I paste it into FIREFOX, I do get to the DISCOVER page, no problem. Thanks for the thought, though. I still have no idea.... Ray

Guess everyone is as stumped as me, and Discover Card Tech support. FYI: I downloaded and installed Firefox, and I can access discovercard.com with no problems. So, it's not my computer, per say, but something with Microsoft. I"ve run all of the AD-Aawre, Spybot programs I can. Onecare it...

BURN Button in Vista Premium

Greetings! I've installed Vista Home in two systems; both, when a folder is opened, show: ORGANIZE< VIEW< SLIDESHOW and BURN. Both allowed me to burn data to a DVD, and in one, I used ROXIO 9, which also worked [much quicker.] I just installed Vista PREMIUM 32-bit. I didn't notice that...

That's correct. Back-up Vidoe Card is a PCI-E, also. 670 Watt Power Supply, also noew. doubt that is it, especially since the system starts correctly with another Video Card, but I don't know what else to try. Ray

CANNOT DELETE FILE message

Well, guys: thanks to all! The winner is the UNLOCKER program. Thought it was going to fail, as, the first report page stated that the file isn't lokced. I clicked next...had the option to move, rename and delete. Don't think I'll ever know how or why it was there... again, many thanks! Ray

CANNOT DELETE FILE message

using XP Pro. Saved a JPG e-mail attachment to my desktop. Opened it, then eventually deleted it. A 2nd FILE of the same name remained on my Desktop. Cannot delete it, can not move it, or rename it. Under file type, it is listed as FILE. It is listed as "0" bytes. The word EVERYTHING is...

That's the problem. The manual is like thier web page. It explains what the differant RAID Arrays do, which I knew. It expalins how to set them up, which I did: RAID 1. You have to enter SETUP during boot-up. I made the array, and it was detected and installed correclt. But it doesn't...

Thanks for the input. I've heard of that probelm, too, but thought it to have been adjusted by most manufacturers. Sigh. Until I hear from someone running with more than 512, I'm a bit hesitant to invest in a costly 512 MB piece of RAM that still may not work in conjunction with a 256...
