strange core clocks with GTX

7800LE when can we expect.

Wonder if he's referring to the 6800LE evga had a while back. 12 pipes, GT core, Ultra memory, good card if you actually got one that worked. As to his question, its quite doubtful this will happen again for the 7800 series, but suprises like that would be quite nice. GT's and vanilla 7800's...

Confused: 6600GT SLI is SLOWER than single 6600GT?

First one is CPU bound, the reason its barely slower there is there is some overhead in enabling SLI. The others it wins.

Have to love not paying VAT here. :) Mwave supposedly had theirs for $650, and that was considered gouging. I'm still going to guess the non-gouged price will be $400 for the GT, 500 for the GTX, and 600 for the ultra whenever it gets released. Then again we'll know wednesday so no point...

Geforce 6200

That score is probably close to right for that card, depending on its core speed (ranges wildly from vendor to vendor) and whether its 64 or 128 bit memory. There isnt even a remote chance a 6200 can get 7000 in 3DM05, as thats 850XTPE territory, you absolutely had to be looking at 3DM03 scores.

a8n-sli memory speed problem

SD is a revision E as well, just like Venice. AMD's official stance is Venice/SD can do four DS modules at DDR400 at 2T. Could be voltage, could have to lax its timings, or could be any number of things. Try with one or two sticks and fiddle with the bios with those if they seem to work alright.

Has anybody orded the DFI UT NF4 Ultra-DR from newegg?

Both newegg and ZZF have pictures of their Ultra-D with an SLI connector. ZZF's picture even shows the Ultra-D box with the connector so there cant possibly be any confusion over it being just a picture of the SLI board. I doubt its really there since the announcement from Nvidia. Then again...

"Official" DFI nF4 Ultra-D / SLI-DR Thread

Id suggest USB to parallel/serial adaptors (though Im not sure how well they work), since the board only has two regular PCI slots. For me they are taken up by my TV card and Audigy ZS. I hated this in the legacy free Abit boards, some of us still have and like our old stuff. :(

A8N-SLI CPU RUNS AT 266FSB RAM RUNNING AT 172

Set the memory to ddr400. If its set to auto it will default to a lower memory divider when overclocking past certain points.

You technically dont have to set it to single. Setting it as single just turns the slot into a 16X slot instead of 8. I tried to set it to single when I first built this one, but ran into a remarkable number of problems, so I just left it on dual.

a8n-sli chipset heatsink fan

Its a small 8K rpm fan, and the chipset can get somewhat hot. Its rather loud, and Im fairly sure after a month or two its going to die on me anyways (was on my third IC7 fan). Then again you cant hear it over a 6800GT's fan.

Serious Asus A8N SLI problems! WONT BOOT!!

For your 8x PCIe problem, your selector is more than likely set to dual video cards (factory default), which makes two 8x slots instead of a 16x and 1x. Some people have problems with it set to single, so I actually havent tried it that way yet.

The chipset actually can get quite hot, so I wouldnt run it without one with the tiny heatsink on it. I was planning on getting a quiet CPU hs/fan but after hearing the northbridge fan I figured it wouldnt matter.
